Indian fast bowling prospects

After the disastrous English tour one thing is clear that we need to develope a top class fast bowling pool of atleast 8-10 bowlers.For fast bowlers player growth,developement,proper break,fitness ,core strength improvement & diet these things are very important.One heartwarming thing is that we have some talented guys but all of them are not finished product yet.Though they can be developed into fantastic bowlers in 2-3 years time. Ishant Sharma(age-23,pace-140-152kph)), Varun Aaron(age-21,pace-140-154kph), Umesh Yadav(age-23,pace-140-152kph), Sudeep Tyagi(age-24,pace-135-145kph), Abu Nechim Ahmed(age-22,pace-135-145kph) Rahul Shukla(age-21,pace-unknown but hyped as fast), Pritam Das(age-22,pace-unknown but he's sharp), Pawan Suyal(age-21,pace-unknown but he's sharp) all are very young & quite pacy. Abhimanyu Mithun & Jaidev Unadkat are also two very young bowlers but needs lots of improvements to be near the national team reckoning. Deepak Chahar(age-19,swings the ball both ways but needs to improve his pace,has some batting talent), Srikanth Wagh(age-22,pace-130-140kph & he is an allronder,can bat), Bhuvaneswar Kumar(age-20,pace-120-130kph but he can hike his pace & can bat in the middle-order,bats at no.6 for UP) are some pace bowling all-rounders. There are also some unknown pacers who will be in action for 2011-12 domestic season like Abhisek Tamark(Jharkhand), Mehjoor Ali Sofi(J & K), Baltej Singh(Punjab).I've heard abt Rehan Khan from Bihar who is hyped as a 150kph bowler according to our friend RightArmfast.There is Ashok Dinda(age-27,pace-135-145kph) & Pankaj Singh(age-26,pace-130-140kph,he is the best performing FC pacer) in domestic circuit who has represented India but I'm not too convinced with them. So these are our fast bowling stocks and we need to develope them & select the best 5-6 among them if we aim to regain the no.1 spot in test cricket.

there is pradeep sangwan 20, bowls 125-135kmph. Has built up some muscles, last i saw of him in the Corporate Trophy, also bats well, and has changed his action.

there is Yomahesh too, who is 23, bowls nice outswingers, 128-135kmph. Use to be 140-142 kmph earlier, somehow lost pace. maybe he gains it back. there is Parappa Mordi who is 19 and bowls 140ish.

Its good to see some fast bowling prospects in India. Its good not only for India but for world cricket, since there hasn't been too many prosects around the world. May be little stint from retired bowling greats could help them.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar - Like the look of him as a potential all rounder. Has a very nice bowling action and is talented with the bat.

B.Kumar looks quite similar to P.Kumar in that he swings the ball both ways from the very little I've seen. Looks a more useful prospect than V.Kumar for sure :)

The joke is getting a trifle monotonous, dont you think. However, I do agree that we indeed have a lot of fast bowlers. It is another story that none of them are given break when they are at their peak !

Yeah for sure, no problem with that, when we can make tendulkar a big star, we can make a bowler too, we can't make another player like tendulkar for sure.

No bowler will ever become as big a star as Sachin. Most Indian people only like batting and not cricket as a whole. Dont you remember when you played cricket when you are a kid and you just wanted to bat and never field. Its so much more easier and fun to stand in one place and smash the ball wherever you like while others run and fetch the ball. Duh!
