Sick of hypocrisy in Pakistan's Cricket Team: Shoaib Akhtar Targetting Former Captain Inzamam, blamed him for Pakistan team's growing radicalization.

Changes were taking place in the Pakistani dressing room too. Discussing Inzamam ul-Haq's captaincy, Akhtar describes the team's growing radicalization. When religion came into our dressing room, I thought, what hypocrisy!" When asked why his attachment to his family saint and his deep religious belief still made him so uncomfortable with Inzamam's ways, he said: "Hypocrisy makes me uncomfortable. I am against imposing something on anybody - or me." "It was heartbreaking and painful. I was let down by my own board. Our-then chairman Naseem Ashraf took the news to the media." His soul was hurt - and his body. Blaming Javed Miandad for physical problems, Shoaib writes: "As a coach, he never guided any of us, never cared for anyone. A similar callousness resided within almost all the senior players in our team... Our seniors set the example of going out, having a good time - girls were coming and going out of their rooms. This was the prevailing culture in the Pakistan team. I know people who were drunk and came out to play and now they call me undisciplined - it's unbelievable!

Asked to pick who is better between Ganguly and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sidhu said: "They are different personalities like no two persons can have identical fingerprints. "I don't think any other captain has achieved what Dhoni had. Dhoni has had success in all the three formats."

I think we should at least read what he has to say. Too often media twists facts and statements and even if he did say it, its his personal opinion. The fact that he admitted to ball tampering at least proves that hes ready to take the brickbats.

Probably most of the things he say in the book may ge true.. but his overall attaitude in last few years make him sort of a Joker..so it make difficult for people to take him seriously... teh point he raises he made about Religion is exactly right...there is no place for Any religion in Sports...people can practice religion in their own houses rather than in grounds..its applicable to all religions also Match fixing and Ball tampering are all common...

Compliment the guy for being: a) a literate - for a guy who has more accent than grammar, this is a big achievement. b) fit enough to write a book - the guy was never fit to do anything in the past few years. It's even more amazing that many have bothered to read what he wrote.

Pakistan team is very much radicalised in 2000s.In 2006 when Youhana converted to islam and also created record of highest number of runs in tests in a year he was showered with prizes and money from all over the world,I was wondering whether this is given for his performence or his conversion to islam
