Mariyam Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I saw parts of Shoaib Akhtar's interview. Leave aside the part where he says stuff against Sachin. The rest of what he says is against the PCB and even against Wasim Akram and Shoaib Malik. Shoaib might generate enough controversy to get good sales and royalty on the book, but will he have any friends left in Pakistan after this book is released? Ise kehte hain khud ke pairon pe kulhadi marna. There is no way he can get into any kind of coaching agreement with the PCB with such comments. What has he planned for the future? PS: His English accent is really He said his family has originally come from Russia?
ganeshran Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 He never had any friends in Pakistan before to speak off. Is not really fit enough to play country cricket (except T20 leagues perhaps) either. This is the big chance he has to make money and he is encashing on that. By giving him the attention he seeks, the media is helping him out and ensuring that every cricket related book coming out in foreseeable future will make controversial comments about Indian legends just to create an outrage and gather more eyeballs
Sarkar Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 For how long will you be stuck on 2003? You guys got the biggest phant of all in the final of that tournament......just like we did in 1999 :winky: One game doesn't matter much. In that particular game you refer, Sachin first owned him, then on return Akthar owned Sachin with his very first deadly bouncer and didn't let him get his another century. As simple as that. 2003 the biggest stage of cricket world cup just before the match shoaib said he will rip india and we all know who got ripped in the end sachin massacred shoaib wasim waqar he was the main reason to send pakistan home early out of the tournament. Big deal sachin got out first ball to Akhtar in 1999 after that we all know who had upper hand and who is still playing cricket not akhtar. Baap baap hota hain aur beta beta hota hain aur sachin shoaib ka baap aur cricket ka baap hain.
Sidhoni Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 He said half the team was filled with fixers. He also said that the last XI was based on the participation in the team's Namaz. They laid a lot of emphasis on religion and worshiping than spending time on cricket.

mishra Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 ôachin was scared of me According to reports, Shoaib Akhtar has bragged that the famous Sachin Tendulkar was scared of him and his deliveries. Accoring to an excerpt, Shoaib says, ?I bowled (Sachin) a particularly fast ball which he, to my amazement didn't even touch. He walked away! That was the first time I saw him walk away from me-that, too, on the slow track at Faisalabad." It reminds me of the joke where Santa comes back after studying logic and concludes that If you havent got fish and pond you are a Homo

It might leave a room for Shoaib to re-enter in controversies.
Sachinism Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 :banghead:Why are these Pakis so obsessed with India? Pakis should be banned from entering India Why are Indian's so obsessed with an opinion of some Pakistani?
ganeshran Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Why are Indian's so obsessed with an opinion of some Pakistani? +1.
saneindian Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 In his inimitable manner, comparing Sachin to a temple, Sidhu said, "Many birds fly over temples and mosques, making them dirty. But it remains sacred and the excreta gets washed away during rain." http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2011-09-24/top-stories/30197844_1_navjot-singh-sidhu-bharat-ratna-cricketers Sidhu Paaji :haha:
singhprakash72 Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I think the politicians and much of Indian public are fools to respond to Shoaib. I mean look at this poor guy he wanted to leave cricketing stage with a Win in World Cup...honestly I feel sorry for him...from what I know about Sachin he will never respond, lets leave it there. ......and yes let Shoaib make some money after his retirement.
ganeshran Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Feel sorry about Akhtar? - he deserved everything that came to him.
Number Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Though he has disrespected Akram , PCB , admitted tempering by him and the team , fixing done by most of the members of team but just because he said 2 lines about Sachin , he'll be hero for many Pakistanis. Says a lot about a nation with no self-respect.
