gakgupta Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 well...truly how come ICF unearths so many fast bowlers...every week i hear a new name.....I think our chief selector srikanth has very less work to do, if we follows ICF regularly. Don't think all the names mentioned here are good but atleast 20% could be good. Can somehow this website links with neo cricket or ten cricket or any other channel and get these player some publicity??...if this happens at some point of time, selectors will be forced to consider this talent.

He was picked by MI in IPL3, but then he got injured and could not be in the team in IPL4.

Even I m amazed at his passion for fast bowling and his knowledge of upcoming fast bowlers. He is officially 22 already and might be 24 biologically. So, if he don't produces pace now and that too naturally, then it is not going to happen later. I mean to say, pace should come naturally. Like S Sreesanth natural pace is 136-138. On a very good day, he can touch 145, but not regularly at will. Whereas, UY or Varun Aaron can touch 145 any given day. So if Rahul Shukla is 136 kind of bowler so that is good, but not super cool

This is the similar case in U19 as well that is Deepak Chahar is not picked because he is 19 now, but will turn 20 by the time actual U19 WC starts. Good that Deepak Chahar is not picked in U 19 WC. I am expecting to see some fresh talent. BTW, when is U19 WC starting??

Maninder had talked about Yadav, Aaron, and Shukla all these three capable of touching 150K and I am very sure he is right about all the three. Shukla was Aaron's partner in U19 junior cricket and had even better performance and than Aaron at that level, though he is 1 year younger than Aaron and I am sure if he stays injury free, this will be his year to shine and come into limelight through domestic cricket and then IPL. He has just made his come back through a U22 3-day match against Tamilnadu U22.

Agreed, but in the recent interview he gave, and posted by you ,he wanted to break batsman's head, and have them bleeding, wonder did he achieve that or by the looks of the scorecard, he would be throwing pies to the batsman in this match.

This match was to test his fitness that is why he was not selected for Jharkhand T20 side which played Mushtaq Ali trophy and do you think batsmen can get injured on slow pitch of Chidambram stadium with safety guards on. When I talked about Aaron to be quick, no one believed me then as well. It was the same case with Yadav, posters here made fun of it. Read what ShebbySB said about him who saw Shukla in the nest at Eden gardens along with Aaron and he was as quick as Aaron.

Abu Nechim and Pritam Das are bowling really well and I am glad that these two are shaping up well. Dhawal Kulkarni is a tried and trusted performer and has done well in recent domestic fixtures. Unfortunately, Rahul Shukla is out for a month with a stress fracture. But yes, these are some of the bowlers we are eagerly looking forward to. Due to those, he could not play any IPL.

Don't take my comments to heart dude, i'm an extremely avid follower of pace bowlers myself, i am very well aware of Shukla, been following him since U19 days, since Gatorade days, my point was that he should test his fitness alright, but not at the cost of giving away the match, only if he would have put in some effort, he might have won the game for the team, don't you think so, there is another player who got a 5fer. Just stressing, fitness is important, but taking wickets is even more important.

You can see that was a spin friendly track and most of the wickets were taken by spinners. He can only do what he could do and that was not good enough, IMO. He may not be in rhythm as he was playing a competitive match after 1 year. It is not easy to come back and start taking wickets from the first match, especially on dead as dodo pitches. He took one opener's wicket in 2nd innings by bowled.
