kabira Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I don't see why can't be another state. AP is big state needs to divided into 2. Eventually it will happen.
IKnowU Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I don't see why can't be another state. AP is big state needs to divided into 2. Eventually it will happen. It seems Andhra are more then happy for separation as long as they can have HYD.....but for obvious reasons telengana are opposed to it and want HYD included.
The Outsider Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I have only one question "how will it help to remove poverty from the state/region? Simple. Smaller states are easier to manage and administer. India should ideally have 50 or more states.
IKnowU Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Simple. Smaller states are easier to manage and administer. India should ideally have 50 or more states. That is true. But some people seem to counter that approach by using america as a example and how dissolved the system ends up being. :dontknow:
kabira Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Simple. Smaller states are easier to manage and administer. India should ideally have 50 or more states. definately. There should be competition among states, states should have more power. etc etc
kabira Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 It seems Andhra are more then happy for separation as long as they can have HYD.....but for obvious reasons telengana are opposed to it and want HYD included. HYD will become union territory like Chandigarh. Thats only solution.
IKnowU Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 HYD will become union territory like Chandigarh. Thats only solution. But in a way.....telengana is really all about hyderabad. If it becomes UT, whats the point of the movement?
Brainfade Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 How about reframing the question to "do you give a flying **** about telengana" Ha ... You beat me to it! Who the heck cares?
Raghav_12 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Ha ... You beat me to it! Who the heck cares? If that is true, why we would be discussing it here :dontknow: People do have some issues over there. How much justified? That is a different thing altogether.
nikred Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 :protest::protest: JAI TELANGANA :protest::protest:
cowboysfan Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Is there evidence that all the new states are better off after splitting?
kabira Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Is there evidence that all the new states are better off after splitting? yes Uttarkhand is doing well, Chhatisgarh not to bad. Actually breaking of Chhatisgarh has helped MP more than Chhatisgarh. MP is doing well.
kabira Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Did seperating from Bihar help Jharkand? well it has help Bihar though.
akshayxyz Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 If sum of parts is going to be more than the current unified entity - then go for it.
EnterTheVoid Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Dude' date=' telangana is not just a movement. It is name of a region and it has its own cultural identity. I belong to that region and take pride in it. I can understand hating the movement but hating the people of that region? I did not expect this from a top class bloke like you. :headshake:[/quote'] Abe, I meant the Telangana movement. Got nothing against the people/culture there.
maniac Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Ha ... You beat me to it! Who the heck cares? Apparently the Govt of the worlds largest democracy cares so much that they are scared to take any kind of desicion and so do the people of one of the more prosperous states of India care,so don't prove to the world that you are an ignorant moron
maniac Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 :protest::protest: JAI TELANGANA :protest::protest: care to explain how Telangana is different from Andhra,We speak the same language,enjoy the same movies,Have the same heroes(no talking about movie actors) we look upto,Celebrate the same festivals... If you say dialect then even East and West Godavari have different dialects People who say Telangana is different from Andhra are no different than followers of morons like zaid Hamid who live in their own little revisionist history and delsuions of grandeur.
maniac Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Seperate Telangana will not affect the poorman,Infact middle class which is booming in recent times thanks to IT and BPO growth will suffer because corporates will back out from a troubled state It may help some power hungry morons especially KCR who wants to have the title of CM atleast once before he dies.Even if we end up giving Telangana hope that POS doesn't become CM
Clarke Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 No more statehood, its time to demand a separate country
