in local club cricket most of the time u dont need to wear any helmet to face bowlers who are too slow and the ball doesnot bounce at all ' date=' but rehans ball were going through , [b']all though its hard to say but i think he in the mid to high 130s
No Yaar...he is not looking Mid 130s. Mithun and Sangwan were bowling mid 130s in Challenger and they hardly looked quick at all. This guys certainly looks more than that though assessing the exact pace is very tough on naked eyes. Only speed guns in a match can confirm anything as how quick he is.

I kind of felt he touched atleast 145 on more than one occassions. He is not looking as quick in the video but in real person' date=' he looked much sharper.[/quote'] Some bowlers bowl the heavy ball with their action and shoulders , some are skidders that appear faster.Shami Ahmed we all know is quick, if you saw him bowl without knowing who he was or read about him , with his smooth action you would've guessed, a 130 bowler, so you can never tell, Among all the bowlers I watched in the Video POST , I found Anwar Ahmed to be quickish, Firdaus Baja also looked quickish,we all know the speeds of Shami, Varun , Umesh. If this kid is anywhere in the 140 ' ish bracket he will get some chance ,I am not sure about new IPL rules which I am told requires one to be a player associated with a state team to be applicable for contract.Even Dinda is slightly built and have seen his bowl in 90's , BUT HE HAS A HUGE JUMP AND puts in a lot of effort, am not sure why BCCI is neglecting him especially with all the injuries , I hope it isn't about Dalmiya and internal BCCI politics.

RKT if you had to choose 5 pacers who you think have genuine talent, not played much domestic or even debuted yet, and wildcards to play for India , who would u choose, also if you can elaborate the reasons for the selections.

He looked really impressive. Other then Yadav and Aaron, we do not have many genuine pacers and if we have then they are mostly very raw, even Aaron is raw at this time. We have guys who can play for India and are fairly quick, but they will take time as most of them have not played much FC yet. Likes of Shami, Rahul Shukla, Faisal Dhudhat who we saw in the video. They all look fast, but are very raw. Firdaus Bhaja looked decent as well. Abu Nechim is also there who can easily play for India with the kind of pace he can generate. These 4-5 guys I took the name of should be watched in next 1-2 FC seasons by selectors. Out of the 12 fast bowlers we saw in the Challenger trophy, only Mithun, Chaudhary, and Sangwan looked decent to some extent, but all three are below par in terms of pace and overall ingredients to have for a fast bowler.

hmm, what is your opinion on P Parmeswaram , I have seen him bowl in 140's he is tallish strong, left hander , hits the deck , among all left handers I have seen besides Anwar I am impressed with him , although he is 25 now I think , far better then all pacers in Challenger to me.

Ooh, not bad at all. Definitely has some pace. The best thing to do would be to ask the batsmen who have faced him how quick he is. My estimate would be that he bowls at 135-140kph. The other guy, I'd say bowls at 120-125kph.

Mithun was averaging 135 ,you were saying NEO speed guns are slow, if that is true then Mithun was Bowling at 140kph with star sports speed guns ,I don't think that is below par

Mithun was not averaging 135. He was more in 130-135 range, fastest was 138K, going over 135K just a few times in the first match. Yesterday, in 2nd match, he was mostly in 131-134K range and I maybe wrong with what I said about Neo speed guns because they were consistent, no real up and downs in the speeds.

Yes' date=' he looks like he lost his way a bit, lets hope we can see him in U P side. Can players from Bihar play for some other state or maybe Railways, Services, there are a few Ranji sides which do not have anyone with pace at all.[/quote'] They should try their luck with West bengal too.KKR has Akram and if he spots them then he will definately give them a chance

The pitch looks pretty bouncy to me.
But Rightarmfast said the pitch has no bounce in it and is very slow and rough. Though that said. even if it is bouncy, still bowler need good pace to get that kind of lift so that it can go over the keeper. Rightarmfast said that he is bowling with an old ball in this video and when someone gave him a new ball, it landed just near the boundary. In that last ball, Rehan had asked batsman to go away so that ball does not hit him. He was bowling this just for recording after he had played a match here. This is not match situation, just for recording.
