There is nothing new in them. If you are to watch reality why would you watch films, real life is enough. Skills and knowledge is tested when canvas gets big and concept is complex.

That is the problem and that is why a very few film makers try to make something different and usually go for regular masalas. Masala films are sure shot success even without any storyline, but these kind of films are always risky.
