Singham
Let him work harder and push for his place in the team. Don't hand over a place so quickly. Link to comment
deathmonger
But Jaddu has the POTENTIAL to be a good allrounder. LEt's see what happens. His half century on comeback with Dhoni in tough conditions in the Oval was a good innings. Link to comment
adi B
The day he plays a single test match for India' date=' that will be the death of Test cricket[/quote'] wont be as bad nd crucifying compared to the number of tests that chewtiya afridi has played Link to comment
Cricket Tragic
Thats fact in odi but these runs would be useful in tests..He has capability to bat like gavaskar and ravi shastri.. :cantstop: Link to comment

Ultimate_Game
I demand Sir Jadeja's inclusion in the Test team at the earliest :hitler: We can't afford to waste such a talent and I am sure every Indian fan would agree with me when I say that I deem Sir jadeja to be a captain-in-waiting and should be fast tracked to take over captaincy from Dhoni in the next few years. msb1991
Bits and pieces players should not play Tests. I disagree that it is his bowling he would need to improve. You would only consider a player like Jadeja if he was plundering the runs with the bat' date=' and then that would be for the no.6 spot. Why would you pick him primarily for bowling? Compromising on quality just to strengthen lower-order batting? Batting is clearly his strongest suit, if he continues to score then we can talk as no one has nailed the no.6 spot yet.[/quote'] His bowling in the last four seasons has been very good...http://www.cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/94/94280/f_Bowling_by_Season.html His batting has been just as good...http://www.cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/94/94280/f_Batting_by_Season.html He looks ideal for a number eight spot in games in India where Harbhajan Singh is not playing. He lengthens the batting nicely. Putting him at seven would be a risk but not one without merit. Link to comment

saneindian
How convenient, those who do well at the IPL get called t20 bullies and then the same IPL's performance, that too of one match is being used to ridicule a young player! What if he does well in a couple of IPL games? Would he then become eligible to play tests for India? Link to comment

What if he does well in a couple of IPL games? Would he then become eligible to play tests for India? This thread was created when he did fairly well in a few ODIs and I bumped it after his mediocre run recently. IPL performances (and to an extent ODI as well) are irrelevant when picking sides for test matches Link to comment
Trichromatic
So, batsmen averaging 40s in FC cricket have played lot of matches for India. Can he get a chance? Link to comment
