When was the last time a fast bowler from SL and BD bounced English top order out on a sub cont wicket?
cf. The "KP Ball" from Malinga. And Saffies in their last tour to SL found Malinga very slippery to handle. We did not bounce them out, IIRC in Galle we sent English packing for 81 a.o. with Vaas taking 6.

Listen mate stick to the topic we talking fast bowling here not team ranking. Even on raking two years ago we were 7th with 87 points and now on 110. Have not lost a series in two years.
dude the topic says pak players bowling 125-135 kmph so i said they are third worst trundlers :idunno:

no they are not the 3rd worst but the 2nd worst cos they have only two bowlers who can bowl 140's at will(sami n gul) sl have three(prasad malinga n pradeep)

gul is a trundler now, he used to bowl 140 now he is legit trundler, Sami yes can bowl 140-142. Malinga is the only one who bowls 140 often in sl the other two guys do it only when they play in rhythm.

whats wrong since he is second fastest bowler of pakistan next only to adridi

But the problem with SL pacers are that they are unfit. Nuwan Pradeep, Prasad, Thushara all are unfit, and these are the players who actually had plenty of pace with them. Before them Prabath Nissanka and Ishara Amerasinghe were the quick bowling stocks for SL (who might touched 150k, but debatable) gone down same line. And I like to see how quick will be Aaron and Yadav after five years (let alone ten years!). I'd make an educated guess that they will be fast medium at best, most probably will be medium fast. You can find plenty of bowler who bowl 140k+ for a season, but it's difficult to find people who do it for a decade. Nantie Hayward, Mfuneco Ngam, Mohammad Zahid, Henro Olonga, Brett Schultz etc, were among the quickets in the game when they had a good season, or half a season. But none of them sustained that pace even for two seasons.

Nantie hayward even icl was clocking 145km/h allthough it was t20.Olonga was not 150 km/h.You have to look at average speeds rather than peak speeds.what separates aaron and yadav from other indian bowlers except ishant is ability to bowl consistently quick .With out injuries i do not see them dropping to medium fast in 5 years.

^both umesh and aaron have been playing competitive cricket for four yrs and they actually have increased their pace over these yrs
In international circuit? That was the same story with lot of hyphed fast bowlers from sub continent. If one of them lasts five years, India will be looking forwards for many victories.

Exactly. And I cannot recall many SC speedsters who never had career threatening injury.

aron umesh has been bowling 140+ since 2010. IPL, domestic included. And NO !! nobody cares if you were only talking about internationals. our domestic and IPL are important to us. i'd also make and educated guess that you will not live past this century. guess what Einstein, when people get old they slow down. its natural, you dont even have to get educated to guess something like that you noob.:haha:

I am talking on lasting five seasons. Akthar, Lee, Donald, Ambrose, Wasim, Waqar all lasted more than five seasons and were still blistering quick. What a clown. It hurts ugh! The bowlers from green ghetto outlasts your lot as well as my lot. Hard to swallow I know, but it's the bitter truth.

if umesh bowling at 145+ is rfm for you then i would say that cricket world is yet to produce a fast bowler in test cricket and for your kind info umesh has been bowling quick from 2008 and since you are a mathematical genius i leave it to you to calculate how many seasons he has been bowling quick

Look mate, I am not interested in how fast he bowls in IPL. We judge players when they arrive in international scene. And true fast bowlers come there to stay. In test matches you cannot get away from bowling one bad delivery per over as in FC, and it takes a lot out of a bowler. If FC is the guideline, then your neighbors will boast of dozen of bowlers with Yadav's pace. Only thing is they are useless in test cricket although they are fast. And Umesh Yadav was brisk fast medium in 2008, not express.
