The tracking of Darty in the domestic season

0-92 to start off. As I had mentioned earlier, it won't be easy for Darty to get back into form in domestic cricket because domestic batsmen are generally good against spin, and the dart game he has been playing for the last few years is unlikely to get him automatic wickets even at domestic level. Punjab's next match is against Orissa now, a much weaker side than UP and a chance for Darty to pick up a few.

Do you think he'll be the highest wicket taker, at least as spinner, this season? I doubt it. He has lost his wicket taking capability completely unless the track is substandard, or batsmen throw their wickets away.

After Jaddu's come back I believe any cricketer, no mediocre can work hard and come back.

Whats stopping him from bowling the doosra. The ICC has virtually given a chucking licensing when it comes to the doosra' date=' let bhajji make use of it as well.[/quote'] I am not buying this AT ALL,his traditional off spinners have much to be desired.

Give him sometime. Its not that after losing his spot he has been sitting idle. Maninder Singh was on a TV program last Thursday and said he spent a few days with Bhajji at Mohali where they identified a few technical flaws in his action (position of the front arm, pivot at the time of delivery etc) and post that Bhajji has been trying a few things in the nets to correct those flaws. Will wait to see if the efforts result in an improved bowling performance. Remember last time he lost his spot post the 2007 WC, he went to the English county, worked on his bowling, picked a lot of wickets and then made a successful return to the national team.

Bhajji was picked by dada to play against australia in the famous 2000 india vs aus test matches. Bhajji's recored was so very poor in domestic tourneys at that time. But dada picked him because he could actually bowl the off spin and turn the ball square. Over the years bhajji has lost that skill of turning the ball, and his doosra. I think if he works on his basics and if he can turn the ball then i am sure he can get claim his place in indian team.

Bhajji would be back for sure. Our bowling become so much more potent when we have an in-form world class bowler, which is missing right now. We have only prospects right now.

I watched a bit of his bowling while switching channels the other day. Poor start but I'll wait for a couple more games. I agree that he won't find it easy to pick up loads of wickets even in domestic cricket if he continues his recent bowling form unless it's a square turner.

Batsmen were very cautious not to throw wicket against him. It won't be easy for him, but it looks like he certainly wants to get back his form.

I missed his batting today :((
He might have scored 50 runs with the bat, but that would also mean that WI would have scored a 100 run extra if he had been in instead of Ashwin or Ojha

He had taken 28 wickets at 13.16 runs in just 5 matches, which is not bad from any angle. Only Nehra had done better than him in as many matches. Wonder where you guys get your informations from!
Oh really? Have you even checked how Bhajji had fared in Ranji
