First was that Sardar beheaded thread moved to the jokes section. And now this. Someone needs to draw the bloody line. Either its all in check or let there be a free for bloody all to sort the mess.

I'm saying if that thread was shamelessly defended, what in Lord's name is wrong with this thread? And if that thread was not fine, why is this? KT, I agree, some people here need to stop sitting at the fence and make their bloody mind up. This "racial" tone being taken needs to stop. Like seriously.

1. Oily - Like making fun of someone applying any cosmetic product in excess. Applying oil is not in any way associated with Tamilians. Moreover, it is unconventional for people to go to work with oil in their hair. Quite a natural thing to take a jab at. 2. Rat - Nothing remotely racist. Derogatory to an individual, but racist? 3. Tamil commentary - Well if someone can't speak good enough English, specially in an English commentator's job, nothing racist about suggesting he should stick to his mother tongue. What next? Stop making fun of Inzi's English? 4. Quota - A typical phrase used to describe how someone perceived to be undeserving getting a job. Racist? Huh? And yes, Siva is an irritating, unbearable git. At least Arun Lal is unintentionally funny, this guy is pure torture. Not surprising to see the usual suspects play the victim card though. In fact, even before I opened this thread I guessed just looking at the number of posts that instead of some light hearted fun, the likes of yoda and fineleg would be here defending Tamil heritage.

Finally some sense in the thread. And the rare instance that I agree with you.

I did not call him racist or play the victim card, just called him stupid, while having fun doing so. :dontknow:

Of course Shiva is a quota commentator. His English is not only retarded it is same set of words over and again. Batsmen is using the full depth of crease. Bowler is using full width of crease. If anyone gets out of depth it is Shiva. Good grasp on English, my ar$e. When a batsman takes two his words are typically: Batsman A ran hard so he could come back for second. When he takes 1. Batsmen B did not run hard enough. When its 3. Both A and B were running hard Jeez is this typical to all Southie commentators?? Ranjit Fernando is not like that. Wait he is a Lankan.

KT is right.. He is an unbearable douchebag with his nasal noises and atonal singing commentary. As for Arun Lal, he shows that there is an upside to global warming: The mass extinction of species means that he is forced to talk about cricket.
