jairamesh Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 over reaction, and what about the measly crowd at cape town which is always full for odis. More than the players, the crowds at Test matches(or should I say complete lack of) shows you how much cricket fans endorse Test cricket these days.
Raghav_12 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 47? Please that is a disgrace. This is not the Australia I grew up watching. I went to bed after watching us bowl them out for 96 but when I saw our score I was shocked. Reminds me of the day when we scored 400 and south africa chased it down. Hopefully something amazing happens again, however we don't deserve to win the match after that performance. One man who pissed me off the most was Haddin. What kind of a shot was that in that situation when he has been playing like crap anyway.. Time to drop him from tests and bring in T Paine. What Hussey did was also atrocious. He had no business of playing a ball that wide outside offstump. But he has been in phenomenal touch off-late so can be excused. Mitchell Johnson perished again for a needless shot. Australia should get rid off this pretender of a test player. Ponting's days are numbered as well. His reflexes are no longer good enough to live with that shuffle at the crease.
ganeshran Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 ^ Snicko is not instant and takes around 10 mins. Thats why it cannot be used as a part of DRS

akshayxyz Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 DRS was implemented to get rid of the howlers. That was not a howler' date=' it looked out in real time and must have been extremely close as Shane Watson declined to review it himself. [b']This game was the best advert for DRS i have ever seen. very true.
ganeshran Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Haddin's shot was the most pathetic one. :headshake: Marsh got into an akward position too, but he was injured so thats ok
akshayxyz Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 ^ Snicko is not instant and takes around 10 mins. Thats why it cannot be used as a part of DRS If that is true - it is very slow, even by 5-10 year old computing standards... I can't imagine how it will take so long to process simple audio signal.
gaurav92 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 ^ Snicko is not instant and takes around 10 mins. Thats why it cannot be used as a part of DRS Who said ? I don't think so. I think it is not used because of its own share of controversial decisions. Its still not fool proof.
Sidhoni Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 South Africa All Out for 96 vs Australia 2011 - YouTube Watson did a Sree at 0:17 :woot:
nospam Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 0: Runs made my Jacques Kallis. The first time in 56 innings he has been dismissed without soring wow :omg:
putrevus Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Flat-track bullies meet their match Malcom Conn From: Herald Sun November 11, 2011 MALCOLM Conn says the staggering day of cricket in South Africa is an indictment of flawed modern batsmen. -------------------- This South Africa-Australia Test series is a beacon to the marginalisation of the once-sacred game. Just two Tests were squeezed into unseasonally early November because the money-making Champions League, a glorified domestic Twenty20 competition of peripheral interest, is now an annual event set in stone. Even so, there was still room on the South African tour for two Twenty20 matches and three spaced-out one-day games before jamming the Tests into a fortnight. http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/flat-track-bullies-meet-their-match/story-e6frecj3-1226192276713 This writer is an idio*t the two tests were squeezed in early november has got nothing to do with champions league. It has everything to do with Australia not wanting to compromise their summer schedule in the name of tradition. Aussies did not want to lose their boxing day test and new year's test matches because of their tradition.SA wanting to to start their own boxing day and new year tradition is the root cause of this two test schedule. For more than 100 years Australia and England have got their standard summer schedules and No one challenged them. Now things have changed . England will get away with their summer tests as their summer does not clash with anyone else.Australia and England are only countries where their fans know for sure there will be six tests for their summer.SA wants to join that party. Aussies wanted their full six tests of their summer and they would not comprise so this two test series as resulted. This author has come up with half baked logic and blaming everything on BCCI has become fashionable.
Tapioca Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 28: Balls it took Shane Watson to take five wickets. The second-fastest five-wicket haul claimed from the start of a spell. The fifth fastest, counting only the known instances. The four above him includes Harbhajan Singh's 4.3-0-13-5 in West Indies in 2006

Mitchy is a bowler not a batsmen....so i would not complain about the shot played....but haddin's shot was pathetic and should be depromoted to number 11 for playing such a stupid shot......probably worst wicket keeper batsmen in the current era......i think, even, Bangladesh has better kerper batsmen...
Sid Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 maiden win in Oz land this winter. Yes for sure and I think we will whitewash them.
deathmonger Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Yes for sure and I think we will whitewash them. Whitewash I don't think so (but will like it if it happens :cantstop:) but we should win.
Sid Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Whitewash I don't think so (but will like it if it happens :cantstop:) but we should win. Look we will have 3 phasstt bowlers and they have an ordinary batting line up and declining Ponting. All set up for a thrashing.
