Ishant has played regularly for 4 years unlike Sreesanth and has captain support. Even in this game it should have been Aaron replacing Sharma so we would see both Yadav and Aaron. Anyone can achieve what Ishant did if play for 4 years, it is nothing spectacular. Look at how quick Yadav is learning already lol.
That is Sreesanth's problem. He never stayed fit. Ishant has done as good as Srinath and Zak had done the similar stage of their career in terms of test. Yadav is learning quickly but look at Sreesanth has not learnt it even in 6 years.

Do you think we can both Aaron and Yadav to Australia? Sometimes I think no, because in test cricket you need all type of seamers as Greg Chapell said during SA tour. He said you need a swing bowler, someone with natural bounce and also a pacy bowler. Swing will still be there in Aus, I have seen hilfenhaus do well in dometic. We need Santh to fulfil this role perhaps, swing at close to 140k.

What happened to the toe career threatening toe injury that Sree suffered?

He is starting Ayurvedic treatment. But I am not sure if he will be fit in time. He was there in ranji to give moral support to Kerala and gave first cap to a rookie too.

Sreesanth doesnt have captain's support? Is that why he played every test he is fit since returning against Srilanka despite struggling for form form during that period. Its nonsense that he isnt supported by Dhoni. If that was the case he would never have played in the world cup let alone the final. Its just a lame excuse.

Ishant hasnt done anything spectacular in his career? So how many Indian fast bowlers have won man of the series in Indian conditions in our history? Even Srinath and Zaheer couldnt manage a similar feat.

He was injured during England tour as people have said countless times. Dude I saw him in nets' date=' he wasn't bowling quick, next day he bowled same pace in match. [b']He pretty much admitted himself he was injured when talking to fans. Ishant has been ineffective in all big tours, bowling average over 46 v South Africa and 58 versus England this year. Why is he still in the team then when he couldn't do well in helpful conditions? At least Sree has shown he can do good against top teams e.g South Africa.
:haha: Sreesanth admitted about this injury to his fans yet kept it hidden from management. That's surprising.

Surprising that he didn't announced it on forum during England tour. :hmmm:

He went to an eye specialist for getting treatment.
:haha: Dravid_TheWall, you seem to have so much inside info on Sreesanth that I'm beginning to suspect you're the man himself.

This is ridiculous. Anyone watching him in england at the nets could tell he wasn't fit. He was trying but he wasn't fit. Some sort of niggle perhaps. Next day I remember on commentary Gavasker saying Sree doesn't appear 100%. Sree said when he gave me an autograph that he was tough for him to bowl currently. But I loved it when I said I like the send off you gave symonds which made him smile :hysterical: If you look at my old posts I have mentioned many times he was injured, Sree only admitted so recently. Otherwise he wouldn't have put in an "Ishant style" performance on eng tour :yay:

Sreesanth says he is fit for England tour Sree, you have a short term memory loss problem :--D

Selection of Indian Bowlers for the Australian tour (Down Under) Now don't jump on me, I know there is a similar thread in this forum [Link], but that thread is a couple of months old and some new bowlers & developments have come in since then. So the purpose of this thread would be to primarily vote for those bowlers (both spin & pace) who acc. to you would be selected for the Australian tour. Let's make it a tighter poll rather than adding all the bowlers who are fit but won't get a go. Also, it's a sincere request to not divert from the topic. This thread/poll will be updated (by mods of course, I don't have the rights to do so) as and when the bowlers who are playing Ranji perform very well.
