Chalks Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Anwar was more elegant to watch but Dada achieved much more as a Batsman . This. :two_thumbs_up:
Raghav_12 Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Miandad is one Batsman from Pakistan who you would really respect without any doubts. Saeed Anwaar was definitely very Classy their best Opening Batsman. No, that's not true. I think there wasn't much difference btw Inzi and Miandad. Miandad has average in 30's in both Australia and WI - two strong teams of his era. Only his home average is very good that too because umpires were not allowed to give him LBW.

Alway's these Paki's Boast of there bowling and make fun of india's bowling where as there batting was historically very poor with a bunch of Home track Bullies and Partial Umpire's making up the stats of these HTB's :hysterical:
Manu80 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Even though the stats say Saurav was better in ODI's . I would say saeed was a better batsman . In test matches the Stats are in Saeed Anwar's favor.Especially away from home. Saurav avgs less than 35 away from home and this is definitely mediocre. What is very strange is that Saeed played just 55 tests in 11 years. Saurav played more than twice the number of tests in 12 years. Saurav's Average away from home is 41.3 which is ok.
Hur Rizvi Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 If stats are better for Ganguly then how come Anwar was a better batsman' date=' especially with Anwar's poor record against SA and Aus? Take out his innings on flat tracks of Sharjah and he doesn't have much to show as a batsman. And the reason Anwar [b']only played 55 tests in 11 years is coz he wasn't good enough to play more. What??? Anwar didnt play because after loosing his daughter in 2000 he lost intrest in cricket. She was her only daughter :(

Dravid_TheWall Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Dada. He also had a better SR in ODI's which decreased in his last few years significantly as he started playing scratchy innings.
phaedrus Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Saurav, no contest. anwar is one of my favourite pakistani batsman, was great to watch. ganguly did more, simple
Sid Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 is this is a joke??? anwar against australia: 23.55 anwar against south africa: 17.30 :hysterical: have the pakis EVER produced a GOOD batsman? you know, like one that actually had a GOOD average against GOOD teams away from home? they are all minnow bashers with long beards Though I loved Anwar's batting but Gangu is superior to Anwar as an ODI batsman.

mishra Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Actually Anwar was very good against us.... But then again our bowling attack was never a fearsome. Dada played against Pakistani bowling attack too. He infact single handedly beat Pakistan @Toronto. Anwar never achieved such feat againt us..... On style: Anwar was a bit brutal in his batting. On the contrary Dada was sheer timing. I allways found Dada a delight to watch...... Because ball went over the Sharjah roof and Stump mic didnt even pick the sound coming from Dada bat....
carnish Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Look at ma profile pic to find out who was better :--D
Ultimate_Game Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 What??? Anwar didnt play because after loosing his daughter in 2000 he lost intrest in cricket. She was her only daughter :( Either way his stats are nothing to shout about, especially his record against good bowling attacks.
