Needforspeed
Its one of those things. I think he needs one good innings to get his confidence back. He'll be back to scoring well. Have patience. Link to comment
Cricket Tragic
His form is a matter of concern but his place is assured and I am confident that he will make a contribution in this series. Talk of dropping him is ridiculous. The guy is a proven performer for us. Link to comment

The Dark Horse
^Dhoni's is the kind of person who'll do just that, so not much chances of anything else:two_thumbs_up: Link to comment
BeautifulGame
^ And thats the right way too , u got to have trust in ur key bowlers. If Dhoni reacted to how fans here reacted neither Yuvraj nor Gambhir would have played in the world cup. Link to comment

Trundler27
The problem is not just supporting gambhir through this prolonged rough patch.... it is a much bigger concern bcoz he opens with someone like sehwag who has a high probability of getting out fairly early in the innings as well.... so we definitely need stability and reliability from the other end. As we saw in England, once the openers succumb cheaply, our famed middle order is not as likely to get us big scores. Plus gambhir is absolutely useless once he fails with the bat coz he has no other utility to the team. I want to support the guy who helped us win the WC finals with a sparkling knock but this is a professional sport and there's got to be a line drawn here for gambhir.... at the absolute max, as i have said earlier, if he doesn't get at least 2-3 50+ scores in the four tests then he should be dropped from tests for now. Spiderguy252
Dropping Gambo at this juncture is going to turn out to be the worst decision we could make. That said, he's going to smash at least an 80-odd by the time Sydney ends I'm sure. Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
If he continues to poke outside off or play that glide down to 3rd man with an angled bat he will find it tough to succeed in Aus with extra bounce and edge carrying to slips. He can get away with the shot on subcontinent where he can ride the bounce and not much deviation but in Aus with seam movement and extra bounce he will be in trouble. He may be able to get away in odis as well since there are not many slips but in Tests he will be found wanting. Link to comment
phaedrus
he will come around. am sure of it. He needs to get past 50 a couple of times and i am sure itll all fall into place. This is the time when we need to support him, he is a proven performer Link to comment
Cricketics
It was last tour in Aus in tri series where he revived his career. He's back at the same place to score some more runs. Watch out. It's just one innings. He will come pretty good on this tour. Link to comment
Laaloo
On another thought, the guy was hit again yesterday or the day before in the leg when he was fielding at short leg :(( Link to comment
Dravid_TheWall
As said before many times by me he has that old weakness outside off and also he falls over his front foot. Hope GG bounces back, class act. Link to comment
Stuge
Gambhir :The White Elephant of Indian team So,Poor form of this guy continuous and If I'm not wrong he is batting avg is about 27 or so for the past One year in tests.Which is really horrible . HE has become more or less a White Elephant of the team".He surely needs to be kicked out for few matches and bring him back after that. What do you guys think ? Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
As if other are breaking all sorts of batting records. Hell, other than Dravid I don't even remember when one of our batsmen scored a 100 against a decent Test side! Link to comment
Stuge
Remember opening is backbone of our team .When Opening fails everything falls apart . Link to comment
VRV Singh
I don't see much evidence of work on his game. Can't an opening bat play with the full face? It is just silly. Link to comment
