cowboysfan
I am terrribly dissapointed in Viru,he seems bored out there at times.we need the big scoring viru back in australia to have any success, you cant lose your openers before lunch and hope to make any serious impact in a test. carnish
viru is a gone case these days... throws away good starts... the viru of ODIs has come into the test arena... MSD will hit a lot of sixes though in the future and is a certain to lead that stat Link to comment
zen
Based on the stats presented, for guys who have played 50 tests or 100 innings, Cairns has the record 6pt ---> 1.4 6pi ----> 0.84 ^ that's the record to beat .... If I play 147 tests and get more 6s than him, that's more like an addition to my numbers by virtue of playing more, i.e. Kallis 6pt ----> 0.59 6pi ----> 0.35 I hope we are not made to believe that Kallis goes for more 6s because he has 88 to Cairns 87 Link to comment
zen
When Md Azharudin went past Haynes to get most ODI runs (iirc), all the Indian commentators were excited. I think this was at Sharjah .... The excited commentator (don't recall who) asks Azhar on how does he feel to go past Haynes? Azhar: It would have been a record if I had got those run in as many matches/innings or less. I played more and thus went past that :winky: Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
Number of 6s in Tests is as meaningless a stat as it gets. Different story in odis & T20s though. Link to comment
