T20 WC hero Joginder critically injured in accident

Joginder Sharma, who was a member of India's Twenty20 World Cup-winning squad in 2007, was critically injured following a road accident near Noida, on Thursday. Sharma was admitted to a hospital near Noida, television channel Times Now reported. The Haryana all-rounder became an instant hero when he dismissed Pakistan's Misbah-ul-Haq in the final over of the T20 World Cup final to take India to victory. The 28-year-old has not played for India since but is a part of Chennai Super Kings [ Images ] in the Indian Premier League

Some good news though - Joginder Sharma stable after accident

Anirudh Chaudhry, the Haryana Cricket Association secretary, confirmed on Twitter that Joginder was on the mend. "He [Joginder] is out of danger and our [HCA's] physio met him and spoke to him post-surgery," he tweeted.
