Jersey #10 Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 This is really a "black friday"...black day in cricket
Jersey #10 Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 bradman - 99.94 average Sachin - 99.94 centuries
akshayxyz Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I am not too much into this stats business. Forget about his 99 hundreds. Here is what is amazing to me. The 28 times to get into 90's in itself is something. If anyone followed Golf with any kind of an interest Tiger Woods once said he is more amazed with Jack Nicklaus's 19 second place finishes in majors than his 18 major championship wins while discussing about his possibility of breaking Jack's record for major wins. This 28 dismissals of Tendulkar in the 90's to me reminds me of that which is really mind boggling. That in itself is an accomplishment to me to get to 90 so many times keeping his dismissals in the 90's aside for a second. ++ same applies to Federer.
akshayxyz Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I want him to get over this because I am tired of the news headlines.

Dravid_TheWall Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 He gets wayyy to anxious and doesn't play his normal game. Hopefully he won't enter that spell again where he kept getting out in the 90's. To people who say "But I would take a 90 every time if India win" I say :finger: Centuries matter, especially for a legend, it is his legacy.
The Outsider Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Just funny to see his fanatics having a sad day!

Dravid_TheWall Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 To win test matches' date=' team needs big hundreds and not 90s.[/quote'] Agreed. But my point was a 90 every match may give you an awesome average but the century tally is key. This is where VVS has flopped as hard as Stephen Fleming. Dravid was bad for a bit but he has a decent conversion rate overall.
Dravid_TheWall Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I think Tendu should consult Bhajji. Remember it was Tendu who helped Bhajji develop a "slider" that goes straight on. :hysterical: Maybe Bhajji can show Tendulkar the no fear Sardar approach to take when in the 90's.
kabira Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 ^what he was rocketing along...27 runs in 20 odd deliveries...
Dravid_TheWall Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 ^what he was rocketing along...27 runs in 20 odd deliveries... Yes but he became anxious in the 90's, he was going quick due to anxiety. He should bat normally than go for 6 when in 90's to bring up ton. I think Gavasker once told him that too. It would cure his 90's problem.
ganeshran Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Just funny to see his fanatics having a sad day! good to see the "neutral" fans having a field day :winky:
