gorah_pindu Posted July 17, 2007 Author Posted July 17, 2007 They would never show Gantz on Animax India (if thats what you mean)... Too controversial for the babu militia:D As for Naruto - although its the same tale - it is executed well. And I love Avatar - although of course, it aint anime.

fineleg Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 tintin was recently dubbed as a racist character does anyone have any idea why??? did he call Captain Haddock a monkey or something?
Grim Reaper Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Dragon Ball Z Pokemon Digimon Sailor Moon Swat Cats Captain Planet Speed Racer Pirates of Dark Water I got more, but those came to mind right away.
suma25 Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 did he call Captain Haddock a monkey or something?:haha: nah but some thing to that effect in one of his comics. guess must be another issue of making amountian of molehill. @ gambit i know abt that thread have checked some of the anime which gorah listed out in that thread .Bleach was good.

mhr123 Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 tintin was recently dubbed as a racist character does anyone have any idea why??? Mbutu Mondondo Bienvenu, who lives in Brussels, claims Tintin in the Congo portrays Africans as stereotypical black characters.
ludhianvi Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 FMA (Full Metal Alchemist) is back with 'Brotherhood ' The first part was awesome. Looking forward to the Brotherhood series. You can watch most anime on animeready[dot]com B->
THX_1138 Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 anyone know where GP is these days? he vanished like hair from the top of sehwag's scalp!
Donal Cozzie Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Watched my first ever anime, Death Note, and its absolutely fantastic. Characters, music, plot, ending, everything. Unbelievable. Got me into anime for sure as long as its mature kind of plot. Better than True Detective tbh, and I say that as someone who adored TD. Highly highly highly recommended
PBN Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Some decent ones: Rurouni Kenshin Attack of Titan Full Metal Alchemist Death Note Kingdom Naruto (neverending though) One Piece A couple of very good sports anime as well. At first, I didn't give them any chance but really liked them esp. Hajime no Ippo which is quite motivational. Hajime no Ippo ( on boxing) Kuroko no Basket (basketball) Btw, listen to the original japanese ones with subs not the english dubbed. I prefer the japansese ones as they give the authentic feel somehow.
Temujin Khaghan Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 good thread. huge manga fan here i can vouch that Path of an Assassin Lone Wolf and cub - also search for the 6 part movie series Vagabond will blow you away
Temujin Khaghan Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Dragon ball, bleach and Naruto brought most fans into the manga zone. they literally stole an entire segment of kids reading marvel and dc and brought them into this world. the biggest drawback is that manga comics are not being able to be converted into live action movies like marvel and dc because as we saw for avatar - the last airbender, hollywood only want white kids to play the leading role parts. there isnt enuf funding for movies where asians play leading role parts. even dragonball had a white kid playing the role of goku lol...
Detonator Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 The problem with Manga/Anime is that they frequently prone to Rule 34 territory
Temujin Khaghan Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 The problem with Manga/Anime is that they frequently prone to Rule 34 territory hentai. it means "pervert". comics for "perverted taste". entirely different planet from manga/anime. only the drawing technique is same. websites everything is different.
