read my thread about fast bowling ingredients' date=' you will know better and the bowlers you are talking about walsh and mcgrath were not actually 130 k bowler. they only slowed down later in their career when had all the experience of international cricket and were good enough to survive even with less pace. and also dont forget i mentioned exceptions, the bowlers superior skills.[/quote'] :--D You should keep your signature as "McGrath was 90mph bowler for initial 3-4 years of his career." Coz ,Every time you argue with someone he comes up with the same "McGrath was 130kmph" example. :giggle:

people talk about mcgrath being 130, but dont understand he did not debut as 130k bowler he was fast medium and even then he was successful. he slowed down in 2000s, but by them time he already had played half of his career years and had become master of his skills to survive and dominate batsmen. when a bowler is inexperienced, he needs that extra pace to make an impact because he is not that regarding other aspects of fast bowling which comes with experience. there can be exceptions, but still those exceptions are rare.

Sreesanth should play the Ranji match this week to prove his fitness before being selected.Otherwise someone like Mithun or Dinda or Nechin (unlikely) should be selected.Sreesanth is the best available choice but that doesnt we should compromise on fitness. Either way he is 5th choice only.Hopefully there is no need for him in the series apart from carrying drinks.
There is no need for him to waste time in Ranji, man of his talent should be straight in. 1st test, ZK, Sree and Yadav B->

Utter rubbish' date=' he is averaging 46 in Tests since 2007. He had a brilliant debut year but has been pathetic since then with the odd decent performance here and there (like Kanpur '09).[/quote'] Bullshit he has won us test matches against top teams which not many indian fast bowlers have done.He has had a horrible last year but his performances till 2010 were good and only injuries kept him away from playing he averaged around 30 around that time- http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/34274.html?class=1;spanmax1=18+Aug+2010;spanval1=span;template=results;type=allround, He needs to work on his fitness but other than that if he plays consistently and is backed he will be a asset .

No matter how much you spin it, the facts don't lie. The dancing donkey that you so adore has been utter filth at Test level for a period of nearly five years. As for his occasional good performance I have already acknowledged it.

I'd rather be an "armchair critic" than that.
