jonas10 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Yes, yes I know its early but based on what we've seen and not taking into account the Kohlis that will be unravlled in 2014 who is your current team taking into account age and the ODI format along with conditions for the next WC? Here is mine as I see it: V Sehwag RHB 37 G Gambhir LHB 34 R Sharma RHB 28 V Kohli RHB 27 Y Singh LHB All rounder 33 S Raina LHB 29 MS Dhoni RHB WK (Captain) 34 R Ashwin OFF 29 V Aaron RHF 26 U Yadav RHF 28 J Unadkat LHF 24 First point regardless of his age I still think that Sehwag is Sehwag and will still be the most dangerous opener in the world. Ideally would like to see someone replace Gambhir and Yuvraj but highly unlikely two unknowns will be so good to knock them off the team. Dont see the team playing with 2 spinners in Australia. You might be surprised with Unadkat, but I think we need at least one left handed fast for variation. Yuvraj or Jadeja would be able to contribute some left hand spin options. Also I think Rahul Sharma, Ojha, Jadeja, Tiwary will play a factor. Here is hoping that fielding is a major emphasis on the team!
Manu80 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 No Unadkat Please.....can't withstand these trundlers
Lord Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 abhi bahut time hai cant say btw I see Virat leading that side:P
Manu80 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 For those conditions we must have medium pacers who can bat a bit.we must try to nurture someone by 2014
rkt.india Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 No Unadkat Please.....can't withstand these trundlers Unadkat will certainly gain pace by that time.
SachDan Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 It's too early to think about next world cup yet, a lot can happen in four years time.
Stuge Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Unadkat will certainly gain pace by that time. History suggests Indian pacers tend to loose pace with time :giggle:
Sachinism Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 lol How things change in 6 months, let alone 4 years
SachDan Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 ^ and SRT RHB 41 Next WC - 2015 February and March :--D
Ultimate_Game Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Nearly 4 years to go and this!
BERGKAMP Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Nearly 4 years to go and this!    exactly, there are probably a bunch of promising 16 year olds right now who nobody has heard of who will be 20-21 then and probably be in contention. please lock this thread for at least another 3 years
Misu243 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 OP should be banned for dropping Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar!!!!!! :finger:
Ithyphallic Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 V. Sehwag S. Tendulkar G. Gambhir V. Kohli Y. Singh M. S. Dhoni S. Raina R. Ashwin Z. Khan I. Sharma U. Yadav
Lord Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 V. Sehwag S. Tendulkar G. Gambhir V. Kohli Y. Singh M. S. Dhoni S. Raina R. Ashwin Z. Khan I. Sharma U. Yadav thats highly unlikely,even more than SRT
jonas10 Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 SRT will definitely not play. He'll go out a champion winning the WC in the tournament.
the_indian_fan Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 too early to pick the squad of 15-16, but the 30 probables will look something like batsmen: sehwag gambhir dhawan mukund rahane virat kohli raina yuvraj rohit sharma pujara manoj tiwary manish pandey yusuf pathan <1 young batsman who no one has heard of till now> wicket-keepers: dhoni uthappa dinesh kartik spinners: ashwin ojha jadeja rahul sharma chawla pacers: zaheer ishant pk umesh aaron <3 young pacers who no-one has heard of till now>
Stuge Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 but but .. Jonas :RLHB" will still remain 10 ?? :hehe:
