Bro, look at it closely, Bhajji is bending forward a lil bit, otherwise Zaheer Khan looks like 6'3 in this pic, whereas Zaheer is not that tall. But bro, keeping in mind your liking for Dhawal, I am going to add Dhawal Kulkarni name in the opening list and keep updating his stats too. In this vid, you can judge Dhawal's height. He do have decent height and pace. [ame=

This thread is for discussing upcoming fast bowlers in this 2011-12 domestic season. With the emergence of Umesh Yadav and Varun Aaron, I am sure it will inspire our other domestic fast bowlers to improve their fitness and try and bowl fast. In this Ranji season, we are already seeing the difference as there are some bowlers like Manpreet Gony, Anwar Ahmed, Abu Nechim, B brainder Sran, Bhuvneshwar kumar, Rahul Shukla, Ashok Dinda, Ishwar Choudhary who have caught the eye. According to me, fitness is the first and foremost thing to check out for any fast bowler coz only then he can continue to improve his performances and look to play for his country one day. What's your take on this? Which are the bowlers you think should be the contenders for the Indian team sooner or later? Below are the performances of some top bowlers so far- 1. Manpreet Gony- 19 wickets ( three 5wkt hauls) 2. Irfan Pathan- 21 wickets ( three 5wkt hauls) 3. RP Singh- 8 wickets ( one 5wkt haul) 4. Bhuvneshwar Kumar- 13 wickets (another Kumar trundler :giggle:) 5. Pankaj Singh- 9 wickets ( one 5wkt haul) 6. Ashok Dinda- 11 wickets (one 5wkt haul) 7. Pradeep Sangwan- 10 wickets (one 5wkt haul) 8. Parvinder Awana- 15 wickets 9. B Brainder Sran- 9 wickets 10. Abu Nechim Ahmed- 12 wickets (two 5wkt haul) 11. Shami Ahmed- 6 wickets (one 5wkt haul) 12. Anwar Ahmed Khan- 16 wickets 13. Rahul Shukla- 3 wickets 14. Ishwar Choudhary- 10 wickets 15. Murtuza Vohra- 9 wickets (one 5wkt haul) 16. Dhawal Kulkarni- 12 wickets

again look at that pic, so is dhaval, you can also see his fingers on the stand. Both of them are leaning to the same tilt standing side by side with Bhajji and his turban atleast adding a few inches from his actually height. Zaheer is standing ahead of them from the camera POV to appears to be taller.Plus dhaval has grown in height since. As i said he was about 19 in that pic. I myself added 1 inch to my height when i was 20. even in the video you posted it appears he is taller than bhajji and slightly shorter than S Tiwary.(wjo he high 5s in that video after taking a wicket) and thankyou for adding Dhaval. :)

Could be the case that he has grown a couple of inches since the first time I saw him. Even John Cena had grown about 2 inches from his start in WWE. There are so many machines to grow height these days.

i think i read men grow till they are 25. or have the potential to grow anyways. He has grown from since when i have been first watching him. Even Umesh Yadav added a few inches since i first saw him play for Delhi daredevils. Look at ishant sharma. He was about 6 3 when he made his debut and today is about 6 4- 6 5.

have u seen him bowl ? if he czan swing then he should be seleced.. australians play pace well
Yes, he can move the ball a little more now, after he has made a slight change to his action now. He is little slinger like Malinga, just a little bit. He has improved a lot as a bowler. He has natural pace around 135 and very tall 6'5. Very powerful action. He should be kept with the team and should be given more confidence. He will become a really good bowler. Here is a 3 yr old vid of his [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_5L1i5ydpE]Manpreet Gony to Irfan Pathan - YouTube[/ame]

Gony deserves a place in touring party for ODI.
Absolutely correct, this is the right time to pick him. This Australia tour is a big opportunity. I don't mind if they pick him Aus ODIs but then I'd have picked him for the tests as well

yep i ve seen him in past thats why i asked about swing bcos earlier he was jsut getting bounce no movement i think he should be selected with his height he would always be effective in australia but i would only select him for odis for now or give him 2 games against west indies that would be perfect

Yes, he should be selected for these last two ODIs against Windies. But I think selectors are going to pick the same bowler, who will be the 5th bowler for Aus tour and same bowler will be picked for last 2 ODIs
