Actually I have seen him on many threads defending Sachin. He usually does this (what you mentioned) when he feels Sachin fans are going over the top and putting down other players. Dont necessarily agree with his viewpoints all the time, but definitely can make out his intentions

fanboy as told by coverdrive means someone who will champion the cause for a player and i have never done that for ganguly, never promoted him.... i just have his photo cause i like the person that ganguly is and i liked his captaincy.... however if you ask me i will do champion the cause for laxman in tests and kohli in ODIs in any thread if required.. :--D
