Good post. But in perspective' date=' we haven't played a single ODI at home, an advantage most teams have enjoyed. So that makes our achievement a bigger one, no?[/quote'] uae is home for pakistan. what's difference anyway - flat pitches, extreme heat, islamic culture. not like pakistan playing in uae out of goodness of heart. kicked out of paki land for fans wanting to kill sl team as pak was going to be crushed by sl at home.

Yes, it does. No doubt. And congratulations. Given the circumstances, its quite an achievement. No denying that. But all this win%, or win to loss ratio or number of cng to petrol taxis is not cricket. Its maths. I can put a poster of Sachin lifting the WC on my wall. Or of Zaheer running a victory lap. Will you paste a printout of win to loss ratio on your wall? Let me ask you a simple question: Suppose your team played 31 games and lost only 1. The WC final. And another team played 31 games and won only the 9 games in the WC (including the final), wouldn't you trade your win to loss% for that trophy?
Certainly but the World Cup is just another tournament. Winning it doesn't necessarily mean you're the best team. WI won the CT in 2004 and we know how good they were/are. On stats alone, we are the best team of 2011. And that's actually what this thread is about :)

Funny how both India and Pakistan have played equal no. of matches yet the former have won 4 less and lost 2 more matches :giggle: Considering they've played a majority of those matches at home:haha: Just goes to show how great a year Pakistan had Mash'Allah:two_thumbs_up:
Dude are you deliberately acting retarded by bringing up the home thing? UAE pitches have allowed even Afridi to pick up wickets and was tailor made for you guys

Winning the world cup doesn't make a team best and its just another tournament??:WTF::WTF: So what is important? I guess Beating Zim and bangladesh. Good, Pakistan is the most successful team. You stay happy with Cool and Cool cup and India will stay happy with world cup.:two_thumbs_up:

pakis have never played in ct final and that is evident of how much they suck. pakis have not yet won series in wi but wi have won series in paki land therefore wi>pak.

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Dude, even by your low standards this is utterly laughable. The World Cup is the tournament that counts, and no matter how much you try and pretend otherwise, you would have traded all those meaningless wins over BD/Zim/WI/Lanka that you are gloating about for the World Cup in a flash. You guys are not the best at anything - well apart from your players getting jailed for cheating. Now in that regard you are truly the best, I admit.
