BeautifulGame Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 yeah, since he arrived,we havent found an able support for Zak,one series its Ishant, other Sree n so on... wen Venky was there atleast Ishant was beginning to look an able ally to Zak n even RP was showing up.Simmons hasnt had success for long with one guy. but then again, too much to expect from a guy who hasnt even played test cricket Yep look at the way Umesh Yadav has declined since he played in Zimbabwe.Bowling absolute tripe now.Simmons must be sh1t then.

Lord Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 So u cant see the basic difference in speed and wrist position of Umesh Yadav now and when he bowled in Zimbabwe? I didnt watch him in Zim.but hes been good.will try to find videos of Zim series
rkt.india Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 n since he hasnt improved one bit in over an year' date='it shows how good Eric Simmons is,I stronglyfeel he doesnt have a clue about these things[/quote'] Eric Simmons cannot change these things as he does not spend enough time with Mithun. It is Mithun's personal or Karnataka team coach who will have to do these things as these things can take time and bowlers to get used to. Yadav changed his action and it was his Ranji team coach Subroto Bannerjee who helped him in this regard. Mithun is neither front on neither side on. He does not need big changes. He just needs to gets side on and closer to the stumps that will do. Regarding Ishant, it was Vankatesh Prasad's tenure when Ishant started to fade away since WT20 2009. Ishant tried different things, developing leg cutter slower ball, off cutter ball, tried to bowl like Zak, but in that process he ruined his action and run up and also lost his pace and that is why Venkatesh Prasad was blamed for Ishant's drop in pace and with due effects, Prasad was fired immediately. People have very short memory.
ViruRulez Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Sorry for bumping this thread but I just checked Mithun's stats and he seems to the highest wicket taker in the last Ranji season. How the feck did he become the highest wicket taker. Our domestic backup in terms of batsmen are not bad. And this guy has neither swing nor pace. So, how the feck did he become the highest wicket taker. I fail to understand some of these bowlers and how they do so well in domestic competitions. :nervous:

It was Pankaj Singh. He was the highest wicket taker in his debut season in 2009-10 season when he had pace, but he did some changes of his action and it got worse and is not able to generate any pace now.

rkt.india Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 Ashok Dinda was runner up in that Scorpio fast bowling competition where Parvinder Awana was the winner in 2004.
