This Mithun bowls like a F***king bowling Machine. They shoul've gone for Abu Nechim..at least he would have developed as a bowler and he's got pace...and by the way I am a Southie too so true and about regionalism im form north and when bhajji was dropped i was the happiest person in this country its called team india not north india or south india ;)

But definitely better choice than MithunBased on what he is better than Mithun? Last 3 Ranji games. Why don't you go look at the last 2 FC seasons to get a better picture of IP and what crap he is. Let him continue upon the recent promise and deliver in the coming games and things will take care of themselves. Until then he should not be anywhere close to the Test team. He has not earned it yet. Understand he is the poster boy but still there is a limit to things.

We don't really have to worry about last 2 FC seasons as he didn't play that much during that phase. Current season is what counts. Mithun has no special skill to get a free ticket to Australia.

With spate of injuries and lack of quality choices there is not much to pick between them. I would have picked Vinay ahead of Mithun but not terribly disappointed though surprised. I am sure Pathan is not the choice without more games to back his fitness and skills. 3 Ranji games to me is not enough to gaga over a player just because he is a fan favorite.

I think a bowling machine would be cheaper than a free ticket and accommodation for a player. :giggle:

So the lad is going for a good cause ..He is going to provide net practice for the batters.

Tenvic/ southie Quota 2) Mithun - Same as above and replace trundler by bowling machine. 3) Irfan Pathan - He is a trundler. Brainless selection. Bowls mid 120s 4) Nehra - Why do we keep going back to tried and tested failures and not giving chance to youngsters
