India gets a lot of flak for the rich/poor divide but this is a problem the world over. I took the following picture when I was vacationing in Bangkok, Thailand some time back, rusty, dilapidated shanty towns in the fore ground with million dollar skyscrapers in the background. 6nx1.jpg

Another picture I took during that trip; This is the reality of the people living in the poorer areas. Those little shacks house an average of 5 - 7 people, given their shaky foundations, they could collapse any time and possibly drown the inhabitants. kpn9.jpg
