Is the Fast bowling brigade for Aussie series the "FASTEST EVER" for India?

Specially Zaheer, Ishant should only play ODI'S in important tours , Nechim , Munaf, VK, Aaron ,Umesh can play ODI'S with PK,and be rotated. For test's we should look at speed , fitness, stamina, find more talent also rookies with those requisites can be groomed in the side then trundlers from ODI side in the test squad.We can look at Gony , Anwar Ahmed, Tyagi , Dinda, Shukla, Shami Ahmed, Suyal for potential bowlers with pace and future test bowlers

well if we play Zaheer Umesh/Aaron Ishant then the answer will be yes. Looking at how Zaheer is bowling against Saurashtra in the Ranji, me thinks he will be more than fit for Australia. PLEASE DONT PLAY MITHUN

yep zaheer got pujara and then 1 more guy today so 22 overs for 3 wickets on flat track i will say he is fit :Pdont worry unless there is some injury zaheer,ishant and yadav will play and even after injury i think aaron will be selected ahead of mithun

Zaheer also has two warm up games in Australia coming up. Good on kumble for getting India an extra warm up. :hatsoff: Mithun should be a player of last resorts. I dont know how he ever gets in.

Either umesh or varun will sit out. It won't be the fastest. zak, ishu, umesh is the most likely trio to play.

reports coming from Rajkot are saying Zak is bowling 138 on a consistent basis. So maybe not 145 but easily above 85mph for the pace trio we play. Obviously Varun Ishant and Yadav would be the fastest trio we have

But even in the WC of which i have the DVD of highlights and keep watching over and over :--D he clocked in the 135-140 zone. Probably averaged 137 thats excluding deliberate slower balls.

Yes they are. However if they bowl 145 and not hit the correct length, they may get slaughtered in Australia. In a recent article Pattinson's comment tells you the importance of hitting the right length

Bowl at a fuller length , not half volley, in between good to back of length, which is called an awkward length and creates doubts whether to play back or forward, because of the extra bounce available there, it becomes a tough length, and just around 3rd, 4th, and 5th stump. Different variations like bouncers and yorkers also to be used intelligently so that the bowler does not become predictable and to send batsman back in his crease.

spot on... the problem with mithun is he is not consistent and so he makes even VK look better... he keeps spreading it around which wont help him in tests... darren sammy being the biggest trundler is also accurate and therefore usually picks up crucial wickets.. so its usually not about pace, line and length also matters... cause else they may get slaughtered.. the fact that even Aaron isn't too consistent with his line is a bit of a deterrent so we just need to hope that its Zak + Ishu + Umesh who gets selected and remain fit throughout...
