NareshK Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 He looks a decent bowler but cant really say anything from 1 game. With new spinners like Rahul Sharma, the batsmen usually find it difficult to adjust because they are not used to his variations like how Indian batsmen first struggled against Mendis. It will be interesting to see how he plays in the next game and also in ODIs in future. I think he should do consistently well in ODIs before he gets considered for tests.
deathmonger Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 i must have dreamt that ball which turned from leg to hit middle and off it hit the pads. but to be fair pitch sucked. ashwin was hardly getting any turn while in other matches he was getting lovely turn.
Ultimate_Game Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 it hit the pads. but to be fair pitch sucked. ashwin was hardly getting any turn while in other matches he was getting lovely turn. But in his last over he spun a ball right across the bat beating the batsman comfortably. On a turner or pitch with inconsistent bounce he would be lethal.

deathmonger Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 but selectors r ruining it by selecting guys like Mithoon n PaPa patience. in time they too will go. ppl like munaf and darty have been kicked out already. and mithun is free bowling machine. only matche he'll get is some game against sl in tri series matk my words.

There were a couple of deliveries which spun sharply right across the face of the bat. Commies were orgasming at what he would do if he gets to play on a turner or on a pitch with inconsistent bounce :haha:
G_B_ Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 extremely tall probably the tallest spinner to play for India? bowls the delivery at a great height and a great prospect for India. Might thrive on pitches with bounce outside the sub
Ultimate_Game Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 but selectors r ruining it by selecting guys like Mithoon n PaPa How Mithun managed to get in the team is a mystery to me. Are our batsmen at domestic level so bad that Mithun was able to take wkt? Can't believe he can get any wkts based on the cr@p he bowls.

G_B_ Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 just checked 6 foot 5 lol should have been a fast bowler. Indian version of Benn. (though appears to be a much better bowler)
Lord Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 just checked 6 foot 5 lol should have been a fast bowler. Indian version of Benn. (though appears to be a much better bowler) would've bowled at same speed anyway
carnish Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Interesting prospect... however i would like him to perform consistently before he can think of getting a place in our test side... thats whats important... playing in ODIs is not a big deal... jaddu can also manage in ODIs but is he good enuf to get into our test side... lets wait and see and hope he turns out good for us
SachDan Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 just checked 6 foot 5 lol should have been a fast bowler. would've bowled at same speed anyway :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
Stuge Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Awesome start ,but its just tooo tooo early to compare him with a legend like Kumble, and put him under tremendous pressure .Let him be and not kumble
Karan114 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Looks decent enough, but obviously need to see a lot more than one game against WI to pass full judgement. But for now, very well done for three wickets in his first three international overs.
cowboysfan Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 his height is a major advantage and he knows how to use in in limited overs cricket,i will be happy if can cement his place in the odis.

gsivak Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 too early to make any calls. Had an impressive debut and yeah any Indian fan will hope that he goes on to do well.
