a great year for test cricket

there have been some tremendous test matches this year' date='the crowds have been sub par though.the common denominator in all this are great pitches,i dont care if the test ends in 4 days but the boards should continue with this trend.[/quote'] :dito: Just brilliant to see the ebbs and flows that go on in a Test match played on bowler friendly tracks that no amount of ODI and tamasha cricket can ever come close to matching. But, yes, the low crowd turnouts everywhere except England is a real worry.

truth be told pak' date=' nz, wi are on the same level.[/quote'] pls speak for yourself monger. if there is a team that should demoted (ie. intercontinental league) then it's obviously bangladesh. it's not like there is a chasm of pacific ocean between the top 4 and the bottom 4, it is not like india brushed aside nz and wi in every game by an innings victory, if anything on current performances i say the only team deserving to join bangladesh is australia, i mean who looses THREE innings defeat at home! in one series, so this split of divisions of four teams is rather nonsense, tbh rather stupid, a league of 4 teams, how the feck is that even a league? talk about promoting international cricket:facepalm:

ask sri lanka, especially the cardiff test where only 50-100 people turned up per day:hysterical: hardly improved at lords, where the entire mcc stand was empty on most days.

One game or series doesn't prove anything. By and large Test crowds are excellent in England.

stop being so ignorant, it was same when west indies toured in 2009 and same in 2010 when bangladesh toured. just go check out the photos from cricinfo archive, it's not a one off. at lords 117835.jpg at durham 103612.jpg

Lol a paki talking about low turnout. Come chat to me when you are allowed to actually have international cricket in your country. And Finding 50 empty seats on cricinfo to substantiate your claims, joker.

no need to get jumpy, i m just pointing to someone's claim of "excellent" attendance of all tests in england which is far from truth, like all nations even england is suffering from poor test attendances. those matches vs sl, bangla, west indies were poorly attended there is no denying it, infact cardiff suffered massive financial losses hosting the sl test match. okay if you think cricinfo chose to put only those "50 empty seats" here you are more evidence from the "home":hehe: of cricket: wYczMizQ8GM

actually they are. i m talking tests only. all are decent sides with potential who can trouble the best. if u believe u are better than nz and wi you are mistaken. i mean indies-pak series ended 1-1. new zealand won a match in australia which you guys haven't done since god knows when.

lol' date=' keep blaming that "inept" sidescreen at Lords.....[/quote'] I was just stating the facts.... Why should shamefull acts by English TEST players be shoved under the rug?

Why are you sounding so bitter? Series must have hurt you badly :haha:
I am not just bitter.... :winky: Also Add to the list. 1. Three test players successfully prosecuted 2. Unexpectedly Pathetic performance by Ausies. 3. Chris Gayle Saga and WI cricket Board Saga 4. Someone was offered ICC fair play award, when his opponent should have been banned or atleast given ICC Unfair play award. 5. Pakistan playing tests with Bangladesh and Zimbabwe with their first XI

The Sri Lanka test series was massively affected by rain which explains the low attendances.

Agreed a great Test year....plus a fantastic WC also...which showed that ODI's still have years left in it. Yes...as an Indian fan...I would have liked to see us win the series in Eng...or atleast not get whitewash....but I also understand that my team has been basically playing non-stop...for a long time (still are). The team in Eng was badly broken....with unfit 1st choice players. That defeat is taken in stride...& I am already seeing improvement in the team....& the outlook is better for Aus series. Hoping that Ind-Aus & SL-SA have great Test series with both subcontinent teams winning
