MCcricket
Parthiv patel has talent, what he lacks is temperament to play longer innings and belief, also he needs to build on his front foot game,he has to be rested. Link to comment
Stuge
:Selectors should tell Parthiv : parthiv you've been give lot of chances ever since you were born .See its better you only play in IPL and leave Indian team for good. Link to comment

bulbul
We need to try Uday Kaul or pinal shah or CM Gautam in next ODI series..TIme and again PP and DK has wasted the opportunities given to them. now u will be called raj takhre by some nationalists here :winky: Link to comment
akshayxyz
It is conspiracy by Dhoni, he wants to show the public that his replacement is comparatively very poor - thus securing his own spot. Link to comment
Lord
Uthappa or Rayudu an be tried Link to comment
MCcricket
Uthappa is a waste of time, Rayudu has talent but doesn't put a price on his wicket, Kaul, Ojha, for test , ODI respectively. Link to comment

MCcricket
no he isnt we need an aggresive player n hes good against fast bowlers His first movement is covering the middle stumps, and playing most balls across the line to the leg side, he is to cocky or not clever enough to sort out his game, just brawn without brain no good, Sehwag knows his game , Uthappa I dont think he has a future in INT cricket, he has made a debut long time back , and hasn't been able to sort out his technique even. Number
Patel is a joke. After England home series I thought this is it , but I dont know how he found his place in the team. Once again I hope he is done with the national team. Link to comment

Pagalpanti
Had hopes on Patel after a decent series in England but again he has wasted too many opportunities. Keeping isn't good either, dropped 2 catches of Russell yesterday which could've cost us the match. I guess its time to try new guys like Uday Kaul, Naman Ojha or someone else. Enough with these 'give chances' to Robin, DK. Link to comment
NareshK
Naman Ojha looks like a decent wicket keeper/batsmen. Uthappa and Rayudu are good batsmen but they are not wicket keepers and we need specialists. Link to comment

Magneto
Sushant Marathe from Mumbai' date=' opens the batting for them.[/quote'] Marathe is too inexperienced at this point. Has just played a little more than one season, after Vinayak Samant quit Mumbai. His stats are extremely average right now, and I guess he needs to play a season or two to garner some experience. If they have decided that Saha is not an ODI player (which might be a fallacy to start with) Uday Kaul may be the best bet right now, since CM Gautam does not seem to be in good batting form right now. Incidentally, Saha is possibly the only wicketkeeper-batsman in the Indian domestic circuit presently who averages more than 40 in both FCs and List A. Link to comment

Just check how many runs he cost due to his dropped chances in this article http://www.espncricinfo.com/magazine/content/story/142856.html The reality of modern cricket demands the wicketkeeper to be an allrounder. The underlying danger in that is keepers these days earn their berth by virtue of their batting. Deep Dasgupta, who was a prime beneficiary of this phenomenon, remarked in a newspaper interview recently that the only way a domestic wicketkeeper could hope to catch the eye of the national selectors was through his batting. This is in a way the core problem. Even we get over-obsessed with batting when we judge a keeper. Link to comment
