@panther ok if ur caption whom would u rther play vinay kumar..who got smashed in practice game the bowler who cant swing, seam, cant bowl at pace and land ball consistently mithun? or inform dinda who is quicker than both and seems to be doing really well on flat tracks even with old ball(presuming he will be in the team as 3rd seamer)
well i would play dinda but the other two are ahead in the pecking order though so one of them will be chosen i think

in the ipl videos he was bowling in the late 130s
maintaining a pace for 4 overs and maintaining it for 20 is a different thing. Its awesome if he can bowl more than 135 on a consistant basis. I would say better than Ishant.

130-140 will probably be his speed range

which is good enough he is not a fast bowler but he isnt a tundler either and to get wickets in out domestic games u need swing so im sure he can move the ball ishnt messed up here and we cant change it now best thing team management can do is to stop lying and replace ishant asap

But Dinda has other qualities - he is nippy, extracts a fair amount of bounce (I guess we'll have hard, bouncy wickets there), and seems like a focussed team player. Have never seen him at the international stage, because I missed that series. If he can bowl at a consistent pace of about 135 throughout, he can be quite a handful. His overall FC averages are a little deceptive because he had two terrible FC seasons at the beginning, after which he's made a comeback.

To be fair to ishant, he too can extract bounce. But if Dinda can do that then its great.

the best thing to happen is one of mithun/vinay gets injured and dinda plays. Allows Ishant to recover beyond the first test.

Come on....:WTF: Ishant was consistently bowling over 140 on these Indian pata wickets against WI and was easily touching 145 every now and then. Actually, he is that kind of bowler, whom Australian wickets will suit the best coz he is a hit the deck kind of bowler and gets a lot of bounce coz of his height. I know Dinda is good but you cannot compare him to Ishant. You have not seen Dinda as yet. Ishant is taller, faster, more experienced and Australia will suit him the best

Ishant would be the first choice anyday. I saw an awesome spell of Ishant's bowling 'live' at the stadium at the Kolkata Test when India was playing South Africa. Amla was batting on 100+ and Ishant suddenly started a barrage of bouncers. For those few overs, it seemed like a bucket of missiles hurled at Amla, and the centurion looked so rattled, completely out of his depth. He was literally trembling. He got out after a while, and in one post-tea session, from a 200 for one situation, SA lost nine wickets at the end of day. Ishant didn't get many wickets, and scorecards will not show his impact, but the whole audience saw how that one spell of sustained short-pitched bowling changed the momentum of the game. When Amla was dancing around trying to run away from the bouncers, the spectators could almost already (clairvoyantly) see that the decline is inevitable. And the same happened. Ishant on song, can be a really deadly weapon. It's sad that he does not have that consistency.
