J P K Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I might not be a fan of Vinay but he is much better in ODI than Yadav or Dinda. Dinda's shite! He has got no variations whatsoever. exactly :two_thumbs_up: P.S : Yadav deserves more chances !! yadav deserves more chances not here but in sa or aus conditions may be
Number Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 We can send Dinda in the Olympics for the high jump competition. He will win us a gold there.
Crookbond Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 stop trolling dude i am serious tell me why vinay should not replace danda or yadav ? Surely - Vinay should replace Dinda in the 'A' team. Definitely!
MCcricket Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Dinda is mediocre and I haven't found anything in his bowling which indicates he is international class, bowls up and down at 132 k's, no seam, swing, accuracy, mediocre like PK, VK, EVEN THE sl SO CALLED HALFROUNDERS ARE BETTER BOWLERS THEN THEM.
GautiMaan Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 u guys are not realizing vinay`s worth even in his absence :wall: tell me who is better than him ? In Kamal's voice"ah..aaa"
Lord Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 both he n Yadav look test prospects.shouldnt be wasted in ODIs. PK,Aaron,Awana should be nurtured for ODIs
Pagalpanti Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 ^And how long before even they are considered as only "test prospects"? He has played just 10 games lol and people are already judging him. And who do we go back to if Dinda is dropped? Mithun, VK??
Crookbond Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Pagalpanti, Why do we need Dinda when we have Aaron and Yadav around? :dontknow:
Lord Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Pagalpanti' date=' Why do we need Dinda when we have Aaron and Yadav around? :dontknow:[/quote'] Aaron is injury prone.Yadav is as crap as Dinda in ODIs.we need bowlers who can bat.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 both he n Yadav look test prospects.shouldnt be wasted in ODIs. PK' date=Aaron,Awana should be nurtured for ODIs Are you talking about Dinda as a Test prospect :omg: What exactly did you see in him for him to be a Test prospect? The guy has absolutely no variation. He simply runs in every ball and bowls up and down with absolutely no seam or swing movement. What is he gonna do in Tests? Scare the batsmen by his jumping like a Kangaroo?
ShebbySB Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 In ODIs Vinay is better than both Dinda & Yadav right now
Ultimate_Game Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 ^And how long before even they are considered as only "test prospects"? He has played just 10 games lol and people are already judging him. And who do we go back to if Dinda is dropped? Mithun, VK?? Did you even consider whom the gret Dinda played in those 10 games? He played a poor Zimbabwe, a 2nd tier SL team (on the tour to Zim), B'Desh and then a Loins team which lost 4-1 to Indians. I doubt you can ask for a weaker opponents and he still was taken apart in nearly every game. He could neither take wkts with the new ball, nor do much with the older one. H could neither bowl well at the start, nor do much in the middle or at the death. What's the point in persisting with him when he's actually worse than VRV Singh? Are you expecting him to run through the likes of Aussies and Saffers when he couldn't do the same against Zim & B'desh?

Ultimate_Game Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Whether someone seams/swings the white ball is often slightly different to whether they seam/swing the red ball' date=' tbf.[/quote'] True but the white ball generally swings a lot more than the red one, eason for the same is that white ball generally has extra coating of the lacquer (shiny coating around the ball) which makes it keep the shine longer so that the white ball can last longer. I have yet to see too many bowlers who could swing the red ball and not the white one. If anything you had a few bowlers who preferred to bowl 1st change with white ball as white ball swung too much and they couldn't control the swing.

Ultimate_Game Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 hes got a good bouncer for a start.as for seaming the ball' date='these pitches arent the best to judge.[/quote'] You don't select a Test bowler based on a bouncer but on his stock deliveries and based on his consistency. You hardly get a wkt with a bouncer and it's the full-pitcheddeliveries which get maybe 90% of the wkts. Dinda is absolutely pants and only has 2 stock deliveries - short/short of length and a full-toss.

Ultimate_Game Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 dude he has got a good inswinger too.just watch his IPL videos.hes certainly not as bad as u r making it out to be So you want Dinda to be picked in Tests based on IPL :hmmm: He's every bit as bad as I'm making him to be. When you can't do jack shyte against Zimboks, Bangbros and Loins lower order you are bad. 10 games against such opponent is more than enough to see that. His short balls and full-tosses won't trouble any decent batsman. He should stick to IPL coz that's his ceiling.

A bowler who prefers to swing the polished red ball though would not appreciate the white ball at all though. I think it is wrong to take performance in ODIs as much value when looking for a Test bowler.
