cowboysfan Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 kohli has to go,he just doesnt have it atm.
Texan Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 kohli has to go' date='he just doesnt have it atm.[/quote'] Exactly, but Dhoni has a penchant for picking dumb@$$ batsmen for the no.6 position and persisting with them... Yuvraj, Raina and now Kohli... Wonder when Rohit Sharma will get his rightfully deserved chance.
BeautifulGame Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Who exactly would u drop? Gambhir - Apart from in England he was our best player in overseas.Averaged over 60 in SA and 90 in New zealand where our openers usually have pathetic record (including Sehwag). Laxman - No one would even think of dropping in a tour of Australia. Dravid - Our best batsman at the moment. Sachin and Sehwag - Untouchables Only player who could be dropped from this line up is Kohli. But it would be poor management dropping just after a single chance. So he will be given atleast another chance. So no point debating who should be dropped. We just have to ride along this tour.Maybe drop Kohli for Rohit if he fails in sydney. Then we have 2 years of test series only in subcontinent where we should blood all our youngsters during this time and move along all the senior batsman including Sachin regardless of their wish.Should start with the Srilanka tour even if we win or draw this series.
Cricketics Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Lets retain the team. This combination isn't that bad. The team is doing decent. Not great, but o well. Let's just watch India bat rite now.
surajmal Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 After this series, management needs to start cleaning house. Laxman, dhoni and dravid have got to go. Bring in the young guns and start preparing them for english and australia home series.
Old guy Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 i think gambhir if he fails again is going to be replaced yes rahane was out of form in pracice games but i really believe he is one for the future pujara handeled swing well much better then kohli rohit should be played in next game . batting wise i will never worry abt our futue most of these guys are technically good and after gaining some experience would perform (not like dravids and tendulkars but still test class) i think its time that we start selecting our test team from odi performances (even abroad games) none of the odi gr8s were succesful in tests
