Not a bad side but Laxman still in??????? why what has he done. I would have him out and replace with a form batsman from India. Form over name any day. As for Gambhir, he is terrible outside India. He will not get good on fast bouncy pitches - he will not... wait for the flat slow tracks back in india and he will be ok to play

Not sure what can be said when a line-up of Gambhir, Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman keeps failing away from home every single game. We can bring in new players but as we've seen with Yuvraj, Raina and are now seeing with Kohli, the young batsmen just ain't that good at Test level. Grim days for Indian cricket.

We have become fecking Pakistan. Whatever happens this series next two years we'll be playing in SC before SA tour in Dec 2013. New look team should be prepared by then as we'll have 4 away series in succession (SA,NZ,Eng,Aus).

That's a worry. Enough time for FTB to score runs on roads and make a place for them in the Indian team. Players these days don't play county cricket or first class in other countries. Losing out on valuable experience for the IPL

I think this is the beginning of India's decline as a Test team. The big 3 are all old and dont seem to be capable of playing good fast bowling anymore..Maybe reflexes are slowing done. Of the new aspirants all of the are FTBs. None of them have the technique or temperament to play well abroad. I think we are going back to the 80s and 90s, when we could win only on home pitches. In England we were all talking about injuries and lack of preparation..here there are no excuses. The Sydney pitch is going to be a greentop and the Aussies are probably going to drop Lyon and play a fully fit Harris.

The BCCI has been giving lip service to livening up the domestic pitches since the 80s..but absolutley nothing has been done about that and we continue to have flat low bounce wickets where sides are not even able to complete their first innings in 4 days.

Yuvraj was ok for a period and raina probably not quite there but suggest the newer kids be given a bit of a go in the short term. They are not vvs or SRT (yet) but maybe they will get there. Invest the time. Maybe India should look at sending some of the younger guys to England, SA, Aus or WI for a season or two to play some domestic cricket and learne the non-indian wickets, conditions etc. Other countries do it. Collingwood was playing grade cricket at the same club as Warne when England first picked him. I know Eng, Pak, Zim and WI all have young players in the sydney club comps now. Warner's club has 2 right now. What do you think?

the reason is simple..in india,fans watch cricket for batting..if batting team gets out for 140 etc they won't watch it..as for indian fans..cricket is all about 4s n 6s..they confuse tests with one dayers and T-20

I think a whitewash is on hand unless th weather intervenes.the aussies can see our batsmen cant play on a relatively good pitch and they will go in for the kill,the pitches will defintely get tougher to bat on.

Drop Kohli for Rohit as said by many ICF users previously including myself. Other than that we cannot do anything. I don't have faith in Rahane opening in test cricket. The rest of the guys just need to have a long think about their game and best way to approach it. Serious changes should occur after series. We have made progress after england tour, improved our bowling. We will rectify batting in time I am sure.
