bring in mukund .he has scored several double 100 in this season
So would Ghambir/Sehwag and Rahane if they were playing Ranji in India. I like Mukund but even he would struggle here as he has flaws with his foot movement and not the bat speed of Sehwag to make up for it.

Where?????? 100s in the sub-continent mean nothing outside India. Youhave to be a more rounded player able to play on more than one type of pitch. SRT (although he is freakish) is a great example of being able to adapt to different conditions and so many on this tour from Inida are examples of how not to adapt. I have said it before on other threads, Indian crisket need to invest in sending some young kids to other places around the world to get used ot and valuable experience in playing in SA, Aus, Eng, WI etc
Yup 100 on Indian pitches means ****.....

GG is about to lose his place to Mukund and VVS must make way for Rahane!! If Virat doesn't get a hundred today' date=' he must be tossed back and Rohit Sharma must be brought in his place.[/quote'] what if virat got 75?

dunno why u are so disappointed. these guys have scored big runs in australia, england and elsewhere in the past. they scored loads of runs at this very ground. the pitches are exactly the same as they were before. what u are seeing is just a result of the aging process. they are all old and washed up. reflexes have gone, it's becoming harder to make technical adjustments. they are all past their peak. its so unreasonable to expect batsmen that have had 17-18 year long careers to keep making runs as they get older. you are banking on reputation and past history, instead of looking at the real consequences of prolonging the careers of a 'DAD'S ARMY'. ian chappell said something about how short sighted the selectors were, claiming that they just wanted to get whatever they could out of their champion batsmen and then leave the mess for someone else to clean up. rings so true, doesn't it. but nobody in india, and nobody on this forum realizes that. never hear a word from the media about this. so go open your mouths and let CSK Cheeka drop his little southie nuts in there. nice little tea-bagging. that is what the indian public likes, that's what u ppl deserve. LOL.

and i'm pretty worried about some of the younger guys we have. virat kohli is a strong onside player but he has no defence. he can't keep out a good ball and pushes at deliveries without getting forward or backward. he gets out to deliveries that he could easily leave. he has very few scoring shots on the off-side. He is just another front foot ODI warrior like raina. he can make runs in ODIs where u never have any slips, when the field settings allow for easy singles. test cricket is a different ball game, if u can't defend and respect good bowling, u have no chance. this is what the IPL and excessive ODI cricket does. kills batting techniques.

Yup dark days for Indian cricket.

Well at least Australia's slide started after the legends retired but our slide has started when all our greats are very much in the team. This is so embarrassing!

That's what happens when you play 3 guys pushing 40! Laxman looks like he's taking a stroll in a park while running and I doubt there's any ground large enough for Laxman to run a 3 on.

Need to get Rohit' date=' Pujara, Rahane in at the earliest. At least they will be better fielders & catchers and will at least be able to run 3.[/quote'] and even if they fail, at least we can build towards a future.

CSK cheeka and the badva selectors think our batsmen will age LIKE A FINE WINE. THE REALITY is that our batsmen are aging like a cheap LITE BEER :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

He could run a 3 if his clone was chasing the ball to the SCG boundary :cantstop:

I think Virat deserves to be persevered with. The guy batted well today and looked good until he got a jaffa...it was just an unplayable delivery and I dont think anyone else in the team could have avoided losing his wicket on that delivery except maybe Sachin

LMAOOOOOOO unplayable? he LEFT deliveries like that earlier in the innings. it was such an easy set up. two short balls pinning him back, one on a good length outside off. kohli keeps getting out the same way, again and again and again. he is predominantly front foot player that pushes outside off without getting forward and is incapable of leaving an accurate delivery. i always give a young indian batsman the benefit of the doubt and kohli is a player i like, but you can't ignore reality. the guy isn't a test player, at least not at this stage of his career. and with his pressing ODI and IPL commitments, i don't think he will ever get a chance to work on his test game.

He was batting very well....leaving balls very well. And he was set up very well by Siddle too but you can't take away the fact that the ball on which he got out any other Indian batsman except Sachin would've gotten out. Even I like the guy. He is still young and I am not ready to write him off as a Test player. The guy has will power and it will come thru sooner or later...at least I hope it does

He also has the will and power to recite some maa behen poems. The sooner he spends that time into working on his game, he'll be a much better player. Needs to get Rohit in now ASAP
