Sachin=GOD Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 IPL has ruined India for the next 15 years. I won't be surprised if India is relegated to associate status in 2025. :(
Pagalpanti Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 To be honest all teams have been poor away from home. Australia got whitewashed in India. SA haven't even won at home since 3 years.
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 To be honest all teams have been poor away from home. Australia got whitewashed in India. SA haven't even won at home since 3 years. Not so much to lose 6 straight and those too so one-sided. Aus were white-washed in India but they were lucky to lose one by 1 wkt. We, on the other hand, have been decimated and our performance has been so pathetic I am surprised the locals haven't asked for their money back.
Deleted_User_1 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 It is not losing, but the manner of those losses.
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 It is not losing' date=' but the manner of those losses.[/quote'] Honestly if I were an English or Aus fan at the stadium over the last 6 Tests I would have asked for my money back after feeling cheated. On top of this fiasco you have to bear these @$$holes in countless ads proclaiming they have "made it large" and "Dikha dega India". Dikhayega mera ghanta
adi B Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Should they? YES Will they? NO Why? God only knows. well summarised

adi B Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 ipl is destroying indian cricket, batsman who were technically solid are poking like pussies outside off like gambhir....test team is shitinf its pants, nor has ipl helped india in doing well in international t20...for me ipl=total waste
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012  whenever loose start bashing IPL why not? its a priority for indian cricketers and gets treated with the same level of importance as international cricket. we routinely see players skipping international games but turning up for their IPL side. future generations will make nice money playing the IPL, why would they have any incentive to become solid test players? doing the twice the amount of work for a negligible amount of money? that doesn't happen in any field, including cricket. maybe academia. the IPL will produce plenty of yusuf pathans but never a tendulkar

I don't understand how good quality test players like Dravid or Laxman could do well in IPL or T 20 format .And why not good batsman opt for IPL when hardly chances are given to them in Indian team, for how long they keep on waiting to play for India in test format
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I don't understand how good quality test players like Dravid or Laxman could do well in IPL or T 20 format .And why not good batsman opt for IPL when hardly chances are given to them in Indian team' date='for how long they keep on waiting to play for India in test format[/quote'] dravid and laxman could do OK in t20 because they learned how to play in first class. the longer version of the game is the toughest as far as skills are concerned. once u play test cricket, everything else feels easier. think of it like taking a 100 level undergrad class after u have completed a masters degree. it doesnt work the other way

But honestly this pathetic showing cannot be blamed on IPL (unless you are blaming IPL for the workload contributing to poor player fitness). The likes of Gambhir, Sehwag, Dravid, SRT, Laxman are established test players. These are the guys who are failing. They are not victims of IPL. Our #6 has been a weak link since Ganguly retired. May be IPL has hurt us here. Our stars are ageing and are on decline. Even at their peaks they depended heavily on openers. With even the openers failing, there is no hope in hell for this team that heavily depends on its batting gurus posting big totals.

Have you been watching Test cricket in last 10-15 years!? RD is amongst our best Test batsman of past decade or more. They are on decline now, but that does not mean they were garbage.
Sachin=GOD Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012  whenever loose start bashing IPL and why shouldn't people blame IPL when it has actually done great damage to Indian cricket??

They are on decline now, but that does not mean they were garbage. dravid is a worthless piece of **** now. what he did in the past is irrelevant. he has been an absolute disgrace on this tour, can't even score off straight deliveries. i dont like to admit this either, but i am realistic and i am not big into this 'hero worshipping' thing that a lot of indians do if u are good enuff to play, u play. otherwise u can piss off. dravid needs to piss off. he has been **** for a long time now.
Lord Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I am ashamed to a be an Indian....... apply for Paki citizenship then:doh:
