daryl1985 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 That is a lot better than losing 4-0 to England and I suspect 4-0 to Aus with all your supposed greats playing:giggle: There is no doubt about it. The likes of Sehwag, Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman and probably even Zaheer are Indian greats. However, at least 3 of them appear to be past their peak. The perfomances and results in England and Australia have been terrible but should not have too much of an impact on the legacy of those players (other than maybe Sehwag who has struggled away from the subcontinent).
Sundar88 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Because Aus play that ashes series at home which takes a bit less out of them. They don't tour one country for 6-8 weeks and then fly off to another for another 6 weeks. Well reason is because football is like the main sport on over a 100 countries. And we're always in the top 10 or near there. We do fail at major tournaments but at least we admit teams like Brazil and Germany are better. Indian fans can't admit that England is a much superior cricket nation. Win/loss ratios prove we are though. If Australia do better at world cups than England because they host the Ashes in the same year that is something for the cricket boards of those countries to sort out between themselves. That's no excuse for failing in world cups. How is England a superior cricket nation when all they've achieved is a world T20 win and a no.1 test ranking for 4 months? Brazil and Germany have won many more world cups than England have in Soccer whereas England have neither won more world cups than India nor have they been ranked no.1 in test Cricket for a longer time. Current form alone does not make you a better cricketing nation.

One in England and one in Aus. The next WC will be won by either Aus or England. No chance for the FTB's on Aussie pitches. We've been test world champions more times then India. We've been the best team more then once. Your greatest ever team fluked a series win against an average English side.

England have not won a single world cup despite hosting most world cups than anyone else. In fact India has won a world cup in England and made the finals of the 2003 world cup in South Africa. As far as world cups go India has a better record than England anywhere in the world, even in England. No you've not been test champions more times than India, only Australia have.
Chalks Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 And these clowns wonder why everyone hates them and laughs at their myriad sporting failures. :hysterical: England - great at inventing games, great at talking themselves up, but not so great at backing it up on the field/pitch. At least Australia have always been able to back up trash talk with deeds.
BeautifulGame Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 The next WC will be won by either Aus or England. No chance for the FTB's on Aussie pitches. Is it only u or are there more England fans believing stupid things like this seriously? England winning world cup :hysterical:

Sundar88 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 There was actually a fair bit of hype before the 2011 world cup that England would win it. That quickly died after they were thrashed by Ireland and Bangladesh lol, the excuse was that the England team was tired after winning the Ashes.

BeautifulGame Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I have lot of respect for Australia even if they thrash and gloat about it.They have dominated world cricket for nearly 20 years and won everything sight. 3 world cups in a row.:hatsoff: But England :hysterical: They even get knocked out by us in at first round in world cup even at home. Rubbish team with rubbish fans.

Rubbish team with rubbish fans. Compared to how much English and Indian people gloat about their teams, Australians aren't that bad. After all, they really have dominated Cricket forever. Both India and England are overrated, however overall India has achieved a lot more than England and therefore compared to English fans, Indian fans aren't too bad.
