adi B Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Let's see Series won in England: Pakistan - 3 India - 3 Series won in Indies: Pakistan - 0 India - 3 Series won in Sri Lanka: Pakistan - 3 India - 1 Series won in New Zealand: Pakistan - 4 India - 2 So overall series record is 10-9 to Pakistan. But India have won series in all of these countries while Pakistan have still not managed a win in the Indies. Also Pakistan has won two series more against SL but they have also lost two home series against SL whereas India haven't even won a single match against SL at home. Reply to this, friend. very well summed up, but the problem for pakistan has been they have lost at home a lot, heck even to the zimboks as well..... i think now uae is their new home, so any series their should be accounted for a home game

That's why I rate 90s Paki lower than 2000s India. They lost to weak teams at home (Zimb, England, SL twice) if you decide to count out the losses to SA and Oz.
EnterTheVoid Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Bassu, In one of the arguments, Lurker started rambling some moronic gibberish about his gym routine, protein shakes, push ups and what not. And that was in some thread in Politics section with Patriot. :hysterical:
EnterTheVoid Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Not surprised at all ... pretty soon he will post a pic of a 10 inch d!ck claiming to be his Once he goes to a poster who held a different view to his, something along the lines of: "Oooh, you're only jealous because you wished you had a body like mine" or some stupid **** like that. Complete and utter moronic clown. :bird:
jairamesh Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 It is definitely the World Cup by a long margin, for the sheer weight of expectations from the nation and the sickening level of pressure on the players. Failure in the World Cup = boom in effigies and rocks. (i.e. WC 2007 was a shockwave, the most depressing day I experienced, felt absolute numbness). Whitewashes in Tests = hardly a murmur outside the cricketing fraternity in India.
jairamesh Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 But I applaud this thread for providing some closure for the current crisis we face in Tests. :hysterical: After every Test loss, I just head to youtube to to view the 5 second clip of that Dhoni six and the feel good factor is back. Trust me, no amount of media crtiques, trolling, and punditry is going denigrate India's World Cup 2011 success, it was beautifully scripted. We knew after the World Cup success, everybody else was going to come back hard at us from all corners, on-field and off-field, sadly an aging team haven't responded. Note: Hell, does anyone remember which exact moment, match, or series we claimed the Test No. 1 position?:hysterical:

The only Test victory that could match it for me is a fictional one: India vs Pakistan @ Lords, Word Test Championship Final, Tendu scores his 100th ton leading India to a 6 wicket win. :hehe: But alas nowadays it looks more like a World Plate Championship Final between these two nations. :hysterical:
exams Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 world cup vs overseas series:hysterical::hysterical: comparing one shahi paneer aur 4 plates of khichdi
tothepoint Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Nothing can match "THE WORLD CUP 2011". I can never forget it-> Loss to SA,draw with England and then Australia, Pakistan and Lanka(hate them most since '96). It was the perfect script. People were crying with joy, they were so so so so happy. Words are not enough to express. PS: For NRIs, ghar aaja pardesi tera des bulaye re. You missed it,but its never too late.

Indians never miss any Team India wins :winky: Just youtube the celebrations for the 2011 WC or 2007 T20 Cup win. I doubt you won't be able to find videos from any country celebrate the win That's something you can count on - no matter where you are, you wil find an Indian, and where you can find an Indian you will see a celebration Post Team India win :icflove:
Cricketics Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 PS: For NRIs, ghar aaja pardesi tera des bulaye re. You missed it,but its never too late. Yes, we couldn't be part of those groups, those thrilling nights, but all of us away from India(all the abroad ICFers I am talking about) living in different countries, are perhaps more passionate than an average cricket fan who comes on street when the team is doing well. We, even though away from home, gathered in groups or perhaps watched with our families. We perhaps did what not most Indians don't even do for cricket back in India - skipping our schools, offices etc. I can go on and on, but by "we" I only mean ICF members that doesn't include every NRI. Yes that said, I wish I was there in the crowd.
Pagalpanti Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 World cup title > any series. Although if India do win in all these 3 locations then it'll be a massive achievement.
Sarkar Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Sending Pakistan out of the world cup now thats what i call big trophy. Nothing can match world cup
Adeel Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Damn! How can someone compare world cup with overseas series's, they both are different kinds of things. Isn't it? As per my book after becoming world champions you have to show some more consistency and promise because you are the world champions, for us (Pakistan and India) prime example is Australia, look how they dominated world cricket after winning every world cup.
