Singham Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 when you go out to different places. ItÃÔ (going abroad) just to improve your cricket because 80 percent of the matches you play in India. All these away series are there to improve you as a cricketer. What is important is to be yourself and slightly tune your batting if needed to the conditions, just like Formula One cars do depending on the conditions, he explained This stupid comment was made by dhoni when india didnt win anything in england. Just shows either he is trying to be very cool or he just does not care abt these abroad tours. Not thinking too critically about the batting is very important, noted Dhoni, who ended his poor run with two brisk fifties in the third Test. źou want to enjoy the game without thinking too much about technique and aspects like how you need to change your game when you go out to different places. Tendulkar and Laxman have looked fluent during cameos but more than on one occasion, they fell to uncharacteristic indiscretions. The rest, though, couldnÃÕ make the required adjustments the conditions demanded http://www.deccanherald.com/content/183688/indias-cricket-reputation-lies-tatters.html
Karan114 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 What is his obsession with car/motor analogies  Anyway, he said a similar thing after the latest debacle, that "these defeats make you learn, you can't win all the time" or some similar rubbish. After six consecutive batterings his words are completely meaningless
The Realist Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Dhoni's words are as empty as his captaincy.
Params7 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Yeah we'll be a joke abroad and kings home with him as Captain. Need a change. Preferably who places more importance on abroad.
gs Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Dhoni, you retard, accept with humility that we simply cant abroad at the moment. Enough of your stories and analogies already!
MCcricket Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Let Gambhir be capt, someone who hates loosing, is young , and aggressive, also he seems to be a good thinker.
BERGKAMP Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Let Gambhir be capt' date=' someone who hates loosing, is young , and aggressive, also he seems to be a good thinker.[/quote'] no thanks, gambhir will be day dreaming about wifey when he is meant to be setting fields.
CG Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 no thanks' date=' gambhir will be day dreaming about wifey when he is meant to be setting fields.[/quote'] What makes you think dhoni does not.
akshayxyz Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 With no performances to show off, every word will look empty. - Success has many friends, and every word sounds like poetry when you are doing well - to the most. But technically there has to be something wrong with statement - 80% at home! its mathematically impossible, some other team has to be playing more games away, than at home. Taking example of top players of current era (home, away): SRT - 82:104 - 44% Kallis - 82:66 - 55% Ponting - 87:68 - 52% Dravid - 70:92 - 43% Lara - 65:66 - ~50% well well well, we have some interesting piece of stat - more respect for SRT and Dravid.
akshayxyz Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I couldn't help check this out... DGB (home, away) - 33:19 - 64% :D (TBF to him, it did not affect his average - like SRTs) Let the party begin.. there is one more week until next match.
Hell Raiser Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 If this is the mentality with which our team goes to foreign soil then WE fans are the biggest fools who expect victory from them and wake up at 5 in the morning to watch them play. And some people call him the best captain that India has ever produced. :headshake:

Singham Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 What upsets me the most is he thinks all the abroad tours are just a platform to improve so that he can play better in home because we play 80% matches home. This guy has absolutely opposite mindset to ganguly. Ganguly wanted to win abroad, but dhoni wants to perform only in home condition. Poor approach by our beloved captain.
adi B Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 If this is the mentality with which our team goes to foreign soil then WE fans are the biggest fools who expect victory from them and wake up at 5 in the morning to watch them play. And most people call him the worst captain that India has ever produced. :two_thumbs_up: fixed.. anyway, i just hope the bowlers do well at perth bcoz i have no hopes from this fecker nd the batting line up....
Mariyam Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012  kick this fecker out of the team Why this kolaveri dhoni? What should he do? Agreed he's having a batting slump, but can't really fault his captaincy if the whole team underperforms.
smbhayi Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Why Kaif repeatedly forgotten? Give him a chance! Remember his last test innings in 2007, he notout 148! He is in good form in recent ranji matches! He also have international experience!
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 After England there might be some doubt in some people's mind but now after these two defeats, it is absolutely clear that Dhoni is not captain of fast bowlers or on those pitches which assist fast bowlers. At home, we have been over preparing flat pitches and beating teams at home so now overseas teams also don't want to give any sort of respite to India when they are playing matches on their home-turf. Now, whenever will India go abroad, they will find similar sort of fast and bouncy and seeming tracks. Now, they are only going to find spinners friendly tracks in India
NareshK Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Why Kaif repeatedly forgotten? Give him a chance! Remember his last test innings in 2007' date=' he notout 148! He is in good form in recent ranji matches! He also have international experience![/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical:
MCcricket Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Quite simply, Dhoni doesn't have to be in the test team or either as a capt of test team, he doesn't have the required skills, tactically, mentally or the confidence in his abilities as a test bat,we need a new test capt.We have lost quite a few test's becoz of him.
