Pitches in India will always be doctored flatbeds so we can keep having our batsmen trying to get 200+ (read a report where both Sachin and Sehwag turfs had the same curator).

In addition to corruption, I think it's also a cultural thing. We give more importance to individuals than others and worship them as gods
This mentality should leave when Sachin retires. Great people should be respected but yeah when personal records start being more wanted than team wins, there is something really screwed up about your fanbase.

Sundar great points there are brilliant sports admins allover the world' date=' the BCCI has proved to be a bunch of pathetic, corrupt, fat bastards, time we as people who are hurt stand up and ask for change, this is a ****ing disgrace.[/quote'] It was BCCI who made the venue of WC 2011 change from Aus to India

Nothing is going to change, no matter how hurt we are, no matter how disgraceful the performances from this millionaires who claim to play for the country, nothing is going to change.

1. change the format of ipl from 20/20 to pro40 and reduce the games having each team play each other once 2. kick out fab 4 from test team (tendulkar, sehwag, dravid, laxman) 3. kick out dhoni from the test team & make gambhir captain 4. have udrs in all matches 5. organise more india a away tours to england, australia, south africa, new zealand, ireland, scotland 6. have fast & bouncy pitches in india for the ranji trophy & duleep trophy

In spite of all our problems, overall we're still pretty good at Cricket. Our team has achieved a lot more than teams like England and South Africa, we're second to only Australia in ICC trophy wins and overall we've always been one of the top tier teams. No team other than Australia or the West Indies has dominated Cricket anyway. I agree we should be doing a lot better with a population of 1.2 billion though. In addition to corruption, I think it's also a cultural thing. We give more importance to individuals than others and worship them as gods, anyone who criticizes them is considered an India basher. Once we achieve something significant like a world cup win we lose the hunger to keep reaching new heights and instead satisfied with what we've achieved. Teams like Australia often try to win every match they play and you hear their captains boldly saying they're looking to win 4-0 and so on. You're never going to hear an Indian captain saying that, the best you'll hear is the standard "we're taking one match at a time". As an agnostic atheist, I also believe we're way too religious as a society, many of our players think the reason we won the world cup is because some higher power wanted us to do so rather than attributing it to their own hard work. When India becomes a more rational society everything else will fall in place in my opinion.
Yeah great post Sundar.

Come back from what? The series is lost already, THRASHED IN TWO DAYS, who gives a hoot if they even win that inconsequential test? I actually hope they lose the 4th test as well otherwise if one of our batsmen gets a decent score there and we end up winning/drawing that test our board will claim they're back in form and not do anything about this.

1. Educate all Indian fans about how poor we really are. 2. Drop Dhoni , Dravid ,Laxman ,Sehwag & Ishant. 3. All pitches to be helpful for fast bowlers. 4. No trundlers. All bowlers need to be 135 Kmph minimum . 5. Call sreesanth to the BCCI office , And slap him for wasting his talent. 6. Make Sachin the batting coach. 7. Lure Troy Cooley to India and make him fast bowling coach AND Head our Pace academies.
