Gimme the Embassy fight from Bourne Identity over any of the ludicruos stunts from the Bond/MI films any day of the week. Hm. mayhaps. The stunts in MI can be pretty spectacular, even if they are a bit ludicrous. The Burj hotel scene in MI4 is pretty awesome. Bourne cant do that :P

DomainK Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 haven't seen in the movies or the latest tv series where he actually calculates how his shots or punches should be so that the opponent is made immovable sherlocks rocks man!! althout i agree no comparision to the others here Holmes lived a very dangerous life where many criminals, including the dangerous Prof. Moriarty were gunning for his life. Not many of them succeeded because Holmes was too smart even to let arise an opportunity of violence. Besides, in the novel A Study in Scarlet, Watson says that Holmes was an expert in armed combat.

Actually, Bourne also is supposed to be very good in the jungle. The novels disclose that he is more at home in jungles where he uses his skills of stealth, his knowledge of the wild and his skills of instantly creating traps and weapons to counter enemies. Bond could do better only IF Bourne did not consider him a threat. If he does, M, Q, 006 & 007 will disappear in a matter of days.
DomainK Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 really? I think were overstating it a bit. I did not know Cruise was playing Jack Reacher, I imagine he could do a good job. I have read one of Lee Childs books and he seems a pretty hard character. Bourne took down the director of CIA essentially on his own. Now imagine if he had resources like bond's or hunt's. Also Bourne Trilogy >>>> James Bond Series (past or present) >> Mission Impossible series. Aye good points both Suraj. We arent talking about the films ofc, just the badassery of the main men. But yeah he does not have Hunts or Bonds gadgets Interestingly Jeremy Renner (Agent Brandt in MI) is playing Bourne in the next part coming later this year, if the MI film is anything to go by, he should be pretty good. Solid actor anyway, cant wait to see him as Hawkeye in the Avengers. I think if it came to just an out and out fight to death it will be a close run thing. Hunt is awesome! Actually physically Cruise seems to be quite the opposite of what Reacher is supposed to be. Reacher is a giant, cruise is not. Reacher is heavily muscular, cruise is not. Cruise is far less than Reacher's six feet three inches. Reacher is supposed to be ordinary looking, cruise looks too good for the character. But I have heard a team of writers are making changes to one of the novels (The Persuader I think) to adopt it to a film and that Child is helping them adopt the character as well.
