He maybe a serious cricket lover but that doesn't give him the right to generalize or call Indian fans as idiots. And yes this is a stupid thread in every way.Whether he is intelligent or not doesnt change that fact.

That is why we post on forums anyway to express our frustration with the powers-that-be and the status quo. I have been watching the indian team since the realiance World cup. but i have never felt this disenchanted . I no longer care if they win or lose. And it is not a good feeling for a cricket fan.

The point is this: When will the Indian fan stop the corrupt BCCI from taking them for granted ? I am passioante about Indian cricket & Indian team because they represent my country. I am not passionate about an individual just for the heck of it. I am pasionate because he represents my country. When India wins it gives an opportunity for the entire nation to come together & celebrate. People from other national teams also see a team from the country India first & foremost. They just don't see a bunch of individuals. So when the team performs so miserably it is India's name that is maligned. Do you think the Australians would be thinking how great India is right now ? They will be thinking of you with contempt. All because of these gutless performances by the Indian team. So why should the BCCI or the players not be held accountable ? Is the Indian fan a slave ? Does he have no right to ask questions & demand accountability ? Especially when it is because of the Indian fan that these players & the BCCI are so filthy rich. Should the Indian fan not have any self-respect for himself ? Can he not demand any self-respect from the players & the administrators ? The BCCI and the players are very rich. Is the average Indian fan as rich ? Does he earn even a tenth of what these fellows earn ? Playing for your nation gives players the opportunity to bring joy to millions of Indians. Shouldn'y this be the overriding motivation for these players ? Should this not fire up the Indian player towards great performances ? Should they not care for the pain that an indian fan goes through when the Indian team performs so miserably ? I mean if the above things mattered to the Indian players will they not introspect & gather themselves up to perform better ? I do not but into this nonsense that our team is so much worse than the Australian or the English side. That is just not true. We can perform well and beat the Aussies. All we need is passion, self-belief and relentless determination. I do not think this is such a great ask. I mean they earn so much. And they are representing a nation of 1.2 billion. And they are not gaurding the Indian border or doing office drudgery or cleaning the streets of the cities or doing the work of traffic police. They just have to play a sport they love playing. And put in their best effort. We are not a people of inferior talent. Those who believe so are stupid. We have a lot of talent. And we are a nation of 1.2 billion people. We can easily dominate all the other teams on the field wherever we play. If you want to believe that you are a nation of inferior beings then God help you for you are hopeless. Does the Indian soldier who dies on the battlefield earn even 1/10th of what the Indian player earns ? Most Indians will be very happy to live the life of an Indian cricketer. They are a privileged lot. Make no mistake about it. And they can live this life because of the Indian fan. Am I wrong ? I think Indian fans need to come together & take the BCCI & the players to task. We cannot afford to be passive unless you love to be humiliated or pained again & again or if you feel that the time you spend watching cricket should pay you no dividend at all.

I warned all those Dhoni is God after WC win maniacs that he would be so severely tested after the time of likes of Dravid, SRT, Laxman was up that we wouldn't even win a test at home. That Dhoni's real challenge would begin when he would have a com pletely new team of FTBs from IPL to command in tests.

Messi maybe great to you but to me he is just some Neanderthal who can kick a ball in a field for an hour and a half wearing a pair of shorts - certainly no better than a Cricketer. However, I have the mental ability to discern that he deserves what he earns as he must be at the upper level of the going rate at his chosen sport. Making references to what people drive or where they live just makes you sound jealous and desperate. Everybody gets what they deserve. Cricket is my game and India is my team. There is no other sport that I would rather watch or there isn't anything else in the world which will make me wake up at 2 at night or travel 8000 miles to watch a single test. I will support my team through thick and thin. It is alright to have a good moan when the team loses but one must recognise that Australia are playing an excellent brand of Cricket right now and good luck to them. If you feel that Cricket is run by the mafia then you have a choice of weeding out this mafia by not going to matches, boycotting the products advertised by this mafia and not switching on the telly on match days. Instead of trying to better themselves and become the best in the world at what they do, learn new things, break new frontiers, they spend most of their lives following an overrated side at a marginal sport that is run by a mafia whose only goal is self-enrichment. So I take it that the fans of other national teams constantly develop themselves into wholesome personalities, learn new things and explore new avenues while following their side.
