its not abt 1 shot its abt learning he was bad against short stuff now he is completely comfortable he was walking wicket in first 2 matches now he is playing with comfort if anything he is gonna be lot more consistent in future he has attitude problems but not while batting or learning which is good thing

It's funny how people told things like - he's found it, he sucks, FTB etc. People forget guys like Sharma, Pujara who have been tipped the best young guns did nothing in their first big overseas test of skills. Sharma played a good odi series in South Africa on tough tracks and failed miserably. I am talking about the one before world cup. Pujara too looked "Classy" in test matches, but never scored much. People need to stop assuming things and settle down on their views. Give the guy a break. He's been one of our best bats. Deserves to get the run which he's getting.

If there is anything that this series has taught me it is that India must give it's youngsters a good run before discarding them. Many were calling for Kohli's head after the 1st two matches (i would have preferred Sharma to start in this match) but Kohli has improved with every game in this series and looks to have the class to make it at test level. I hope other youngsters are given as much of a chance as him in the future (that pull shot was amazing). However, the OP does not need to discredit other young batsman to champion Kohli.

me too. Youngsters are the way forward. Look how Yadav bowled. VVS will probably be retiring after this series. :(( and Dravid by the end of this year. Will be sad but an exciting time. First time we'll have so many new players since the early 2000's when Viru, Zak,Bhajji etc came. Look at the Poms. Cook, Pietersen, Bell, Anderson,Collingwood were all part of the 5-0.

Class is more than 1 shot, its about batting long hours, negotiating ball after ball, scoring run after run. One four is just that - 4 runs. He may as well have picked up 4 singles for the same result. Let's see if he has it in him to play the long innings the teams needs.
