FOR FOUR.. That to me was the shot of the day. Class of the future great. He did the same thing in Sydney but later got that good delivery which kept low and he was trapped in front. Hopefully he goes on to make a big one this time. To hell with all, but this guy is class. It was in those last few overs of the day, and he came up with that awesome shot, suggested the legend of the future to me. For those who didn't watch, they missed a special shot. Go check the highlights. For those who did, I am sure you would have felt good after that mini collapse of ours again.

Kohli has played with lot more freedom in this test. In the first two tests, he looked like trying to prove a point and hence was nervous, not anymore. He's been getting better with every innings and has surely put an end to speculations about him being not ready for test cricket.

Sharma played a good odi series in South Africa on tough tracks and failed miserably. I am talking about the one before world cup. Pujara too looked "Classy" in test matches, but never scored much. People need to stop assuming things and settle down on their views. Give the guy a break. He's been one of our best bats. Deserves to get the run which he's getting.

So one pull shot and Kohli is here to stay? What logic lol. Btw I am not saying Kohli is a FTB but just using your logic. Dhoni hooked Broad for 6 few times in England tests, maybe he is a class test batsman.

Kohli, Rohit, Pujara, Rahane, Mukund..these 5 batsmen are the future of our batting. Irrespetive of their initial failures, they should be persisted with. Rohit played some classy knocks in the last CB series including one in the final which showed his class. He went downhill for sometime but has recovered well in time and looks set for a 10-12 year long test career. Pujara scored that mighty impressive 72 in a 4th innings chase when sent in at 3 against the Aussies. But for his injuries, he may well have cemented the test spot by now. Will surely happen in due course of time.

really felt good after that shot. well controlled pull. big wickets were falling , he had his failures early in this series and yet he looked pretty confident .. As tom moody was saying he has worked well on his defence , it will just take 1 big innings out of SC to establish him. I don't feel he will get big one here but improvement is there to see.

He's grown in confidence with each test. I don't understand why he gets so much flak here, people asking for him to be dropped after just 7-8 tests  This guy is one of India's future great.

folks need to know Ticz mentioned before that kohli is his acquaintance. So, he'll keep opening thee sorta threads. This is after all one four shot and he declares 'here to stay'. lot more to prove before it can be declared. what is this? Tamasha-ipl for dilli scaredevils? one shot for four and a thread

Title looks like the only positive in this whole tour, apart from Yadav.

Yeah fine shot indeed - either way no doubt that Kohli is one of our future permanent fixture for the middle order in the test team - irrespective of how he performs in this tour. Good chance for him to get a biggie in this innings, looked good so far.

What that shot proved is he isnt afraid of bouncers and handle real pace very well. Most really good Indian domestic batsmen has the technique against swing as they are tested to that from time to time in Ranji trophy. What is usually their failure is inability to handle real pace and bouncers because we completely lack both of them in domestic cricket.if they can handle both they are half way to being successful test class batsman. Kohli certainly has stop to this talk of him getting bounced with the confidence he has shown against these bouncers. Also the most important thing with Kohli is he has shown real improvement with every test.Just shows how much it is important to give youngsters full back up and give a decent run. Hope we give the same to the likes of Rohit Pujara Mukund and Rahane starting with New zea land series.

This tour is gone but I want Kohli to get a big one. Kohli and Yadav will be back next time.
Though he is some serious talent but I hate him just because of his attitude! :finger:

Showing attitude is far better than biting the ball, dancing on the pitch, spot fixing etc etc

I was watching the last session on Channel 9 and they were all praising Virat and everyone agreed that he is surely a great talent for the world cricket. Ian Chappell- Virat was the only batsman in Indian team who was looking good to make a 100 on this Perth pitch
