Responding to BCCI's statement that the Indian team can beat any side, the Azerbaijani Neo Youths, a team formed by teenagers who have been maimed by mines left over from the war, have chosen to slap BCCI with a lawsuit. Terming the statement as a gross misrepresentation of facts with an utter disregard for immediate realities ANY Team's letter to the BCCI included a summary of recent matches played by the team in various parts of the world, including - England and Australia - where they had gamely drawn several matches and even won a few against various county sides. (Ed: Emphasis from original text) "It is presumptuous of BCCI to suggest that their side will be any match to our team considering they have never played against us. Given their current record even our bench is confident of winning against if not thrashing their side." The ANY Team was formed originally in the hospital where most of these youths were admitted after unknowingly stepping on a live mine in their farm. As part of their recovery, the hospital staff, organized friendly cricket matches between the youth. While 90% of Azerbaijanis prefer football over all other sports, the doctors recommended the comparatively sedentary past-time of cricket as being ideal for their patients' fragile state. The Captain of ANY posted this comment on his twitter, which already has 25,000 followers, "BCCI forget that at any given time only two people in our playing eleven are wheelchair bound." BCCI officials were unavailable for comment.
