Sir_Afridi Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Any maaja saaja with immigrant parents from sub continent , can hold a bat, run few yards and throw ball can make it to US cricket team.People usually laugh at you if you tell them that you are member of US cricket team. :giggle:
Magneto Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Please arrange some kind of a series with them overseas so that we can again have the taste of winning overseas.
khanjee Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Maybe you could post this in Lurks thread on Chit Chat? Congratulations to your friend and may he have a great career and enjoy himself :icflove: By the way - is your friend a migrated desi or amreeki born desi. If the latter then it is nice to see someone taking up the game (even though he is Indian, or Paki or Lankan or Brit or Aussie or Saffer or WIndian). He is from Pakistan ..Good player... like ticz says, we played together for college team and also play for same club the last 2 years....hope he makes it big...really hard working guy...
NeutralCat Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Congrats to him, hope the USA do well and qualify, would be awesome if USA start taking cricket seriously.

US Cricket is run by the Trindians and they rarely give fair chance for selection to non Caribbean players. Good luck to lad and US Team.

Magneto Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Shikhar Dhawan will get his break soon after the 'seniors' retire. Just that he's not been very consistent off late.

maniac Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 USA team is full of expats fro SC and the Carribean.... there should be a ICC rule or something that atleast a minimum number of natives should constitute in the team (For some reason I thought they had that) But on topic all the best to Cricketic's friend. :two_thumbs_up:
Shunya Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 congrats to Adil... Ryan corns and Usman Shuja are real good prospects ...I have seen them play in Dallas... Hope to see this team perform finally...
