Desi Cartman Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 VVS or RD will be playing his last series at home against NZ and the other one will play his last series vs Eng. actually VVS might get dropped without a farewell series
kabira Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I think they might jsut make a comeback just like Ponting made a huge comeback. He was about to get dropped...
master22 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 VVS looks like getting dropped if he does not retire or score runs in second innings. Not sure what to make of RD,he always does well against england...so if he does not retire after this series he will most likely play against england.
cowboysfan Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 No ,no and yes for sachin.vvs should be dropped and I am 100 % certain dravid will retire.
kabira Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Its catch 22. Before the series, Australians were thinking about replacing Ponting and Hussey..LOL Both guys turned the series for aussies with that parternship in Melbourne. The selectors need to sit with them and propose their exit plans
India-KXIP fan Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 No thanks. Dravid will be 40 by then! Other 2 would not be too far behind. They are not good enough anymore and need to retire or get kicked out ASAP.
Lurker Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Don't want to make things easier for the English team when they tour India.. After that they can be phased out or retire.. Khuda na khasta, if we lose to England at home, it will be emabarrasing.. Why? As it is flat patta track would be created which would be enough for someone like Yuvraj to knock a comeback century, raise his bat to the pavillion and shout "Up yours b****c"! Plus Ojha would look like Bishen Singh Bedi ka tau and Piyush Chawla will put Subhas Gupte to shame. Even Sehwag will take 2 wickets every innings and make us wonder why Dhoni doesnt bowl him more :--D Why not kick these budhaos sorry ass all over Dadar Shivaji Park? It could also be at Victoria if you insist :icflove:
J P K Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 we need drop one seniors at-least before the england tour hope it is laxman

VRV Singh Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Need to stop looking for excuses to not make changes. The cricket calendar could not be much better aligned for it to happen. Ideal world - they bow out after this series. I don't think the people who truly care about this Test team would be cutting themselves over a loss to England in the rebuilding stage. Who is to say the youngsters won't prove themselves.

This English team is on a mission to conquor the World..followed by an arrogant bunch of obnoxious and jealous past cricketers/commentators...They've been waiting for ages for out Maharathis to go downhill.. I want their oldies to retire with our oldies with an unfulfilled desire of winning in India.. If they win the upcoming series.. you'll never hear the end of it from that bunch of obnoxious SKY TV commentators..

The real problem is mental, that needs to be sorted first. So first thing we need to do is Kick out Fletcher and Company, then Dhoni as captain.

Exactly.. least thing that Fletcher can do is motivate them. If not Al pacino style speech in the movie ANy given sunday atleast some inspiring talk. Kirsten definitely did some mental conditioning of players including sex :cantstop:

Fair enough but when folks fail you typically show more faith in youngsters since they can learn from it (hopefully). Hard to see what promise any of the budhaos are gonna do batting on flat tracks.
kabira Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 ^Agree. But you need to have right enviroment for them to nurture.
Lurker Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 ^Agree. But you need to have right enviroment for them to nurture. OR. Desperate situations calls for desperate measures. Throw the youngsters in the deep end of the pool. Who survives are capable of carrying the torch forward, those who cant go back to the domestic cricket circuit and hone the skill. Atleast they know all slots are up for grabs. For eff sake dont play the budhaos. They occupy top 5 slots as if they received it in dahej. :whack:
Laaloo Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Need to drop all the buddhas + Sehwag and Dhoni. Unfortunately, with the next test series 8 months away, and IPL and T20 WC in between, it won't happen.
