yoda Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 These guys have done well for the country for more than a decade. Yes they did not know when to go out, that doesn't mean we keep piling the abuse. Show some respect to them legends!
NeutralCat Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Yeah we respect them but not the way they are ****ing holding on and destroying the future. Out of all of them only Tendulkar has looked the goods and should play for another year or so. The others should have retired after Perth, what a ****ing disgrace, they have refused to go out gracefully and their name is now forever associated with 8 losses on the trot away from home.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 its all heat of the moment stuff man when those guys go, i'll cry tears of sadness no joke
Laaloo Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 All 3 of them needs to go. Gambhir and Sehwag needs to go back to Domestic Cricket and Dhoni needs to retire also
Laaloo Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 its all heat of the moment stuff man when those guys go, i'll cry tears of sadness no joke Same here but they will serve Indian cricket by leaving ASAP
NeutralCat Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 And by the way India has a **** record away from home, we have won the odd game here and there overseas but we were never rated away from home. So a fat lot of good all these "legends" did for us.
asehgal Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 That maybe but the time for them to retire has come and this includes SRT. Lax should have retired after the England series. Imagine that they were whitewashed and NOT a single head was rolled. I find that amazing. Just shows it doesn't hurt these guys like it hurt us.
amiret Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 And by the way India has a **** record away from home, we have won the odd game here and there overseas but we were never rated away from home. So a fat lot of good all these "legends" did for us.
bulbul Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 These guys have got more than enough Respect and Credit over the years...so taking little back is no big deal.. They also shoukld respect team and Game of cricket
saneindian Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 The only ones rejoicing about these failures would be the Pakis. These three have been giants of Indian cricket who have scripted the golden era of our cricket. If they do not play a test together again, when the openers fall for a low score, we would look for a Dravid or when the team is in pits we will look for a VVS to guide the tail and take us home or when we seek some aggressive cricket, we will miss Sachin. These 8 tests have dented their proud record but doesn't take anything away from what they have done for the nation.
Magneto Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Super Respect for all of them. Would have loved it if they had gone out in a blaze of glory!
asterix Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 BCCI made a stupid mistake of finalising 4 test matches each in England and Australia and that too on back-to-back abroad series.. BCCI must've learned it's lessons..There'll be no more than 2 test matches in FTP (especially on abroad series)..
Old guy Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 heres respect from me :finger: first they should respect there fans they dont respect us... they get :whack: simple
TheWall Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 All the 3 have done a great job. One of the best in the history of cricket. A zillion thanks to them. Now it time for them to retire. Not even a single match.
Chalks Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Sadly few people get to go out on a high note, or in a manner of their choosing. RD, SRT and VVSL have been great champions of Indian cricket, legends even. But now it's time for them to go whilst we can just cling onto the fond memories we have of them (which is not getting any easier after two 4-0 whitewashes :(()
fineleg Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Which Indian cricketers have retired when they were doing well? - Gavaskar - Kumble And then the following went out when they were decently ok: - Ganguly - Srinath Any others?
f.b.m Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Kumble had lost his zip a while before he retired. After his 5 wickets in the melbourne test, he really wasnt that good.
Singham Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 How can u expect respect from fans when they refuse to go and they themselves know that they are not good enough to represent the team anymore. And laxman is trying to play in IPL....!!!!??? kiss my ass..!!
kabira Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 We have had great memories. We were number 1 in test for long time and always remained in top 3 for some time. Credit should go to veterans. They have always stick to their guns. They are short of confidence, happens to best of best. BCCI should have been preparing for their replacment 3 years ago by sending next generation to A tours. We are going to struggle away from home once they retired (we already are when these three are out of sorts), just get used to it, New guys will come in, but will take atleast year or so to even be consistent. Dark Ages have started....
