Dada is too lazy will make everybody his waterboy or man. Not to mention that he will play his favorites game Fleming or Whatmore would be my choice
Aussie-r-best Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 we performed better in south africa because gary give our players lot of inputs on sa condition he was very active guy we need a foreign coach either from england or Australia who should not be more than 50 years of age I think however the next coach has to know international cricket but understand India, Indian conditions and culture.... One of the biggest things for international coaches is the cauldren effect in India, the 'chocolates to boiled lolly factor (any job coaching in India is a short lived job, you will be the saviour when you arive and there will be efigies after your first loss and every lloss thereafter). Fleming is a good prospect but I don't think he suits India.... S Waugh is the best I have heard... despite the champios of India being named, I think you guys need an international coach... those Indian guys were great at home and good away because they are/were champions.... you can't teach champion to a junior so they will struggle....

BCCI needs someone who doesn't question them + Ganguly is too strong a character and might have issues with new captain. + Indian team will soon be dominated by Bengal players :P

My prediction is he would go from Hero to zero in 9 months I have no idea why you would want the Indian coaching job, you are on a hiding to nothing with no possiblity the story will end well..

I think he should be able to take the new generation of indian cricketers forward & achive great things He knows what it takes to succeed as a test player, he had the mental and physical toughness. On top of all this he was a great captain which shows he is respected and able to lead his players. Also is on good terms with India and does charity work in India. He makes a lot of sense when he talks about cricket.

Ganguly would be a good choice but my gut tells me we need someone active like mentioned before Kirsten got involved with the players and drills and never saw himself as above the players, Ganguly might. Plus his championing for the likes of Dinda makes me question if a foreign coach w/o any bias might be better choice. Maybe even Dravid if he wants to get straight into it..

We need a young coach who is going to be given complete power/control over decisions, especially now that we need to start getting the young kids into the team. No more vested interest and embarrassing oldies hanging on it the team, unfortunately for Indian cricket we have too many vested interest, too much corruption, it's sad.
